I'm fairly new using Android phones, i've had mine a little over a week now. I thought it may have been a default "press some buttons" or something.

Brand new at this and still learning how to set things up and this thread has been great. I haven't changed my lock screen yet and have debated between Gowidgets and WidgetLocker, any input is appreciated. Wish I could upload a shot of what I have done so far, but I'm too new

You can have gowidgets and WidgetLocker. WidgetLocker is a stand alone app giving you a lockscreen. I use both! I have to admit I came from ADW Launcher EX, but have now converted over to Go Launcher and all their awesome widgets. You have to try the go calendar, it will sync with google calendar. Getting back on point, you should be able to use both...NOW there is a GoLocker, but I am sticking with WidgetLocker since I paid for it.
