Cool. Have to start calling around and see if any stores around here will sell me one. I wonder if it will come in any other colors. I notice it doesn't have the metal strip around it like the Honor does. And was it just me, or did that dog have the most annoying bark ever? Sounded like it was being tortured or something lol.

Good God it was horrendous! I swear he has that dog on Crystal Meth.

The phone seems really nice. Fast and loaded for bear. It raises a few questions that I think Ill make a seperate thread for.

The display has that long look of a widescreen TV. I was worried because in a couple of Honor unboxing vids and pics the display looked shorter.

I guess I have to get used to calling the damn thing Mercury now, which I don't like because it makes me think of old geezer cars.
I mean really? Do you know anyone under 130 years old who drives s Mercury?

I posted this in the other thread, but it shows that it has that widescreen aspect ratio, and the guy even commented on it several times. When he kept saying how "thin" it is, I'm pretty sure that's what he meant. This also shows the metal trim I mentioned before. (he calls it aluminum)

Called around and none of the stores in my area have it in stock yet. Most said this coming week, one said she placed an order yesterday, so they *should* be in Monday. Guess I'll have to wait at least a couple more days. Boo!

Same here. I called to cricket stores on Friday and one said that the corp. Store has them so I asked which but I think she undertood which store am I calling. I went to that store and the guy said he will get them in by the end of the week, I gave him an odd look and said 'its friday, the week is over.'
As well tried cricket dealers, one said they will get them after 3pm so I waited. Come 3:33 I call and what a surprise, they dont get them till next week.
Honestly I waited too long for this phone and im tired of calling to see when I can go get one but **** this. Im going to quit waiting and being anxious, ill get that stupid ****ing phone at the end of the month. Got more bigger things to worry about.

This thing is pretty badass, I'm very content with it. The pics are amazing and the flash is a bonus. Great slim design and the 4in screen is great. I wasnt feeling the HUI so I switched it to the regualr Android UI. Cant wait for an actual root for this phone or better yet ICS!

No it comes with Huaweis custom UI. Huawei had made an ICS demo available for the Honor but it is ICS ready and will probably update by next year.

Got one before I went to work Wednesday. Haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with it but I'm impressed so far. Build quality is really nice. Took a few pictures and was surprised how good the camera is. Haven't tried it in low light or used the flash yet, but in good light at least, the pics are crystal clear. I agree about the Huawei launcher (ui). It is terrible. The Android one is much nicer, but I had to put GO Launcher on it. There are just too many options I missed, like the scrolling dock, ability to change icons, changed the app drawer to vertical and got rid of those hideous colored squares behind the app icons in the app drawer. When I get a chance to check everything out more I might try to write a little review. So far I'm liking it a lot.

Go Launcher. I've been using it for a long time, so not having those options is too limiting. You can also change fonts and there are lots of different transition effects to choose from if you like that kind of thing. BTW, remember that 3D user interface from the Huawei Vision? That is actually a launcher that Huawei licensed, it's called SPB Mobile Shell 3D, and you could put it on your phone. The bad thing is it costs $15!

I had bought that and used it on my Indulge but it kept freezing so I reported it and they refunded me.

I'm surprised it didn't work right on the Indulge. People are saying it works fine on the Admire/Vitality, which is only 800mhz. I'm interested in hearing how you would compare the Indulge to the Mercury so far. Do you like it a lot better? I can't believe Cricket is still charging that much for that phone.

It worked fine for the first day then it started getting laggy and then just kept freezing up, reboots were a pain because SPB had to load and what not.

Hands down the Mercury is by far the most superior compared to the Indulge.
Dont get me wrong Samsung is a good company and for them to reach out to Cricket was pretty good, overall it was a good phone and now the Indulge is getting GB so that itself is a giant step forward.
Dislikes - Samsung never really helped out the dev with the Kernals and what not so the only thing available is for the R910, nothing really for R915 users. Another dislike is the MMS, i could never get MMS. I had to DL an app to force download the MMS sent to me and even if i did get any pctures sent i would never receive a notification. As well i could not send or receive any MMS when on wifi.
3G on the Indulge was uber slow, where as the Merc just flys by without any hesitations.
Battery of course sucked so i had an extended battery, Made it looke like a brick. Camera was shitty and sending them distorted the pics even more.
It has its ups(slide out qwert keyboard) and downs(3.5in screen w/ huge home/menu/back/search buttons, wtf?) but the extreme downfall is the price.
I bought it out of impulse that and my Zio was facked, I regret it now.
