Headphone jack broke on my bionic, i just got my replacement. I have a file of pics on my sd card named .systame so its hidden from gallery. On the old phone i could easily access/ find it with the astro app. With this new phone astro will not show the file or will not even locate it in search mode.
I can see the file if connected to a computer and also if i use the "file" app that came on the phone. Any ideas how to fix it?

Are you looking in SDCard or SDCard Ext? Your actual SD Card is "SDCard Ext". I know you are able to see the files via your computer but which memory is it looking at? The computer can open 2 drives, one of the internal memory and one of the external memory. Have you tried moving the pictures into a different directory like "pictures" or "pic" and see if you can see them?

Technically it isn't broken so there is nothing to fix... the default setting for Asto is to not show hidden files...

Open Preferences->Look and Feel->Show Hidden Files and make certain it is enabled.
dingdingding winner! thanks that was it!
EDIT: nope i thought that would fixed it because i didnt have it checked. i checked it and still doesnt show it. Yes im looking on sd ext. I dont get why i can find it with the files app that came on the phone but not astro. My previous bionic i just replaced with this one did it.

I'm easily confused but will ask anyway.

Is it the case that you can't find something under Astro that you can find under Files?

Astro shows a lot more.

When you load Astro you hit the up arrow at the top of the screen and it will take you to the parent folder.

Select sdcard and it will show you everything that Files shows when you select Internal phone storage.

Select sdcard-ext and it will show you everything that Files shows when you select SD card.

Was this the issue?
