Help Need some help after trying to install the new update.

My mom decided that she wanted to do the update on her Optimus M using the update tool. For some reason she said the update basically stopped at 95%. It was stuck like that for hours. Now her phone has a white screen and she can't do anything with it. She said that she received a message, probably on the computer, saying "usb modem fail". How can I help her fix this since she can't afford to buy a new phone at the moment? if she goes to a metro store, can they fix it?

Hey, this same thing happened to me (kinda). So i had to flash the stock rom to get the phone to try to update again. This might help:
Downgrading/Putting Stock Rom On
It's rather simple when you get to it. And doing everything right, it shouldn't take more than an hour. Sorry no one could help you earlier.

Oh, yeah. If you go to the Metro Store they should fix it for her, and they should not charge to do it, cause it wasn't her fault. She would just need to explain what happened just like you did.
