Any musicians here? What instrument(s) do you play? What music apps do you like best?

I'm a drummer, not professionally, just like to play with my family.

I dig Slow Down Music trainer-- unfortunately right now it's only an iphone app. I emailed the guy at his website and asked him if he plans on an android version. He says he's working on it, and wants to make sure the quality is perfect before he released it. I hope it's soon, it's hard to learn Metallica drum solos at full speed. :p

Or perhaps Buddy Rich when he rips. RIP, Buddy.

I play upright bass, acoustic guitar, ukulele. I play bluegrass, jazz standards, old timey, pop (think Beatles), and anything else that comes up on the occasional gigs I get called to play.

Have a modest but effective home studio, using WindowsXP/Adobe Audition. We have produced several locally released album projects here, some EP's, plus many demos of our own and others' music.

I started on French Horn in school, and took up guitar informally around the same time - during the folk scare of the 60's. Music is my greatest passion now other than family. My son plays in a really good band, they are motivated to make something of it and will be down at SXSW in Austin this year.

I just this week got my first droid device and I am enjoying figuring it out - with some help from this forum! Thanks.

I love French Horn, but you will get more work with a guitar (which I also love).

I wanted to play Baritone Horn first, but there weren't any rentals available (it was a small town) so like all new students I was given a pair of drumsticks and a practice pad. When the saxophone player's family moved, I volunteered to play sax, and that was the defining moment of my life.

I play guitar and have been playing 14 years.. over half my life. The band that inspires the way I play I AC/DC, in the recent months I have been trying to change my style just a little bit to get more of an influence that you can hear than just Angus Young. It has been working too, and it is helping me develop my skills even more.
I have written a few songs as well. I have not shared them with anyone yet they are pretty personal, and not in the Rock genre, which surprised the one person that has seen me develop through the years, I played a little bit for him.

My favorite guitar I own is my Gibson SG its their "special worn brown" model I bought it my self when I was 17. Now I am awaiting the arrival of my new amp I just ordered.. A Marshall 1987x with a 1960bx cab.. they have to build the head though so it will be a 2 month wait.
Playing guitar is my passion.. I have played live in front of people many times and I love it.
I may post some pics of my gear..

I've played clarinet for about 9/10 years now, but I also play drums, marimba/xylophone/vibe, keyboard, guitar and working on singing.

I just started writing songs and have them kept in a couple notepad files on my phone, but nothing serious at the moment. Been looking into some apps, but haven't really found anything worth getting sadly

My best instrument would be the piano. I've started on plenty of other instruments as well, but never quite pursued it long enough to develop sufficient skill in those areas. But if you're counting in a severely mediocre level of skill, you can count in the violin as well. The rest... I'd rather pass up on those for now.

Music applications however, are a different matter. I came from iOS which had a nice piano app. Haven't tried looking for one here with my SGS2 yet, however.
