ICS and Battery Life?

My battery life seems fine. The past few days, I usually have a good 70+% remaining after 14-16 off the charger.

Before I updated to 4.0.3, I'd generally be around 80% at the end of the day, but that was with a rooted and undervolted kernel (still stock 2.3.6 though). I'm running stock everything with 4.0.3 for the moment.

Wow, I don't know how you would have so much battery left, I've never gotten so much from the battery.

Yesterday I took my phone off the charger around 9:30am, and by 9:30pm or so I was down to like 17% and that was with a few phone calls, some game playing and not much else.

When I play games, it kills the battery a lot faster. My typical day might have like 30-45 minutes of talk time, a handful of texts, catching up on Twitter every couple of hours, and answering a few e-mails. Lately I've been using it for price checking at stores and such, but that didn't seem to make much difference.

Just an hour of Angry Birds or Apparatus will drop my battery down a good 25%.

I don't play very many games on my phone, usually it's the same as you describe and still I am left with very little at the end of the day. I'll have to test it and really record what I've been doing with it...

in 2.3.6 with little use, like 10-20 minutes browsing on 3g, and 5-10 minutes games, 2-3 sms.
I had probably around 70-80% at the end of the day.

In 2.3.6 with medium use, 1-2 hour browsing, 2 hour music, 30 minute games, i had around 30-40 % left at the end of the day.

(a day = 18 hours)

4.0.3 with same little use, i have around 60-70 % left

4.0.3 with same medium use i have around 10-20% left

But im ok with it, i can sacrifice the battarylife in what i get back in a supersmooth ui experience.

I did the manual upadate with no wipe

This is after making calls throughout the day and sending endless texts. I even left 3G data for 3 hours and used GPS for abit too. However, I don't game when I'm on the go, so there was no battery drain from gaming. Perhaps that's where the main battery issues lie?

I upgraded to ICS from 2.3.6, any my battery life is half of what is was before the "upgrade." I used to be able to stretch my usage between charges to over 5 days (120 hrs) , but after ICS 2 days (48 hrs) max., and this is with decreased usage of my phone.
What did you do to max your battery like that? Surely the only way that's possible is but not using it even once at all. Not even my old Nokia would last 5 days after making calls and texts every day.

I'm pretty amazed at the battery life out of the box. I did install JuiceDefender and BatteryIndicator, but the battery life was amazing out of the box. I don't turn on Wifi or enable data unless I need to, but I check email, check scores, etc a few times a day, I use Maps for traffic info, and I use the camera / flash maybe every 2 days. It was great until I installed ICS!
