Got this for Xmas, and I am EXCITED!

My wife got me one for Xmas, with no prompting from me. I get it activated tomorrow, and am damn excited for it. Seems to be the first really legit Android in it's price point for Cricket. Looking forward to seeing the custom ROMs this phone will support too.
Congrats, you're gonna love it! Let's hope we get some dev support and CM9. Though everything runs so smooth on this phone, I don't think I would flash any ROMs until they were pretty much bug free. A rooted and cleaned up stock ROM would make me happy for now. (or even an easier root method. The method posted so far is beyond me). Enjoy the new phone!

I saw that the Honor (U8860), not sold in the USA, has a "demo" ICS (Android 4.0) update out which works perfect. I'm not sure if this can be easily fixed to run on our American Mercury (M886) phones that have a 0.3MB FFC instead of 2MP and run on CDMA not GSM.

I will be making a ROM dump today as soon as I cash my check and head to Cricket. I'm too excited to sleep!

I have had a day to work with this thing, and I am in love. It is about time that Cricket has a phone of this quality. The speed is stunning, and the stock ROM is great out of the box. All I can say to anyone looking to get this, is to just get it!

Try GO Launcher on it. You won't believe how smooth it is on this phone!

I am actually quite impressed with the stock launcher it reminds me of touch wiz. But on my other devices I have also ran GO launcher and loved it too but as of right now I don't see the need to switch I also really love the visual built in task manager
The built in task manager still works with Go Launcher. Just long press the home button and it comes up. There are just so many ways to customize Go that it makes the stock launcher seem boring.
