What is the best way to transfer music to the GN from iTunes?

I've already tried:

Android File Transfer: successfully transferred all songs to my GN, but the songs were all mixed up once they were on the phone and I have know idea how to manage and edit them to place the right songs under the right albums/artists.

DoubleTwist: doesn't work on GN because you can't enable usb mass storage.

Google Music: Began to upload my iTunes library, but stopped 1/3 of the way through and froze...the only way to retry is to delete the account.

I hope this helps in some way.

I purchased AirTwist and was successful in transferring most of my music. I did this overnight b/c 4,000 songs takes a LONG time.

I then decided to try the Google Music and let it take a 1 1/2 days to upload the same music and delete my music from my phone. I was surprised to find out that the streaming of the high quality music is seemless. I have also used Google Music to play from different computers at different customer sites. It has allowed the streaming past firewalls and other network bs.

I have now uploaded my wife's music (she lost her iPod a couple of weeks ago) and we are going this route. We are waiting on accessory cables and docks to come out to replace our iPods. My son has already claimed my touch as his.

So my license of AirTwist is just money thrown to the wind.

How exactly would I go about using that? I know it sounds stupid, but I've never used it before. I've got a MacBook Pro and obviously a GN...could possibly give me a step by step on how to transfer my iTunes library from my Mac to my GN? Thanks in advance.

Very easy. I don't remember the steps...but trust me, if I can do it, then ANYONE can!! Download the app (free??) and it has instructions on it...very easy to follow. Fool proof...it won't mess anything up.

I misspelled it..."iSyncr"

Hi guys,
First post so please bear with me.

Can anyone tell me in idiot-proof terms please how to transfer music onto this handset? I connect via USB obviously to my Mac [OS X 10.5.8] but it's simply not recognised as an external drive.

The status bar on the phone shows 'Connected as a media device' but no dice. I tried 'USB debugging connected' too but still no joy. I also tried connecting as a camera in case the different file type helped but, again, no good.

I've downloaded and installed the 'Android File Transfer' application to my iMac but it crashes every time I launch it.

I also downloaded Kies but that fails to launch at all, an "architecture not supported" issue which presumably is because my iMac is too old (1.9 PowerPC G5).

I've come over from an iPhone and I'm still a bit unsure to be honest, (available) functions on the iPhone just seem to work first time, there's never the faff of having to find work arounds and I'm beginning to lose my patience.

All and any help greatly appreciated
ta!

I am using google music which is great becaue you dont have to store them om your phone, but when i synced it with itunes it would not convert about half my songs. it was something about DRM? does anyone have a detailed way to get around this?

thanks

To remove DRM, the easiest way is to pay itunes their "upgrade" fee to DRM-free music. All current music on itunes is DRM free... this is likely from the older albums from a few years ago (I have some as well).

If you want to go the "free" route, things become more complicated (methods include custom software, burning your music to a CD, then ripping it back, etc).

I also use iSyncr btw & love it (though I am using Google music on my GN currently... iSyncr on my wife's Bionic). The beautiful thing about iSyncr is that it will actually bring in the playlists & sync the playcounts with iTunes (so that auto lists like most played get updated when you listen to something on your phone as well!).

Ok, not sure if this was cleared up.

I use iTunes alot.
I also use it for my Podcasts.

If I buy a Galaxy Tab (actually looking at the Micro Cruz 10" which just came out) - what is the easiest method/program to use?
Keeping in mind iTunes is my go to Podcast mgr.
In other words, is there a software that after the pod casts in iTunes are updated, that when I attach my Galaxy Tab with the usb cable that then my podcasts get updated to the tab?

Must say, Apple makes it easy with iTunes.

iSyncr FAQ - Basic
Will this work with podcasts?
iSyncr will sync your podcasts. There is also an "Unplayed Audio Podcast" playlist which allows you to sync your unplayed podcasts! Note: that video podcasts will always be listed as unplayed.

I just copy the folders over in windows explorer... sometimes it craps out but usually works for me.

Will iSyncer sync automatically (say when I connect my android tablet to my PC)?

I don't want to do the copy/paste thing.

I work late and when I come home do not want to spend a lot of time micro managing a tablet just to get my podcasts synced to it (the tablet) that way I am all set to go for the next day hen I can listen to them.
