I'm currently using the Incipio case they had in the VZW store. It's silicone with a hard shell over that. I picked it up this morning and I'm not sure if I'lll keep it. That silicone portion attracts lint and dust like a magnet.

I just want a case to make it a little easier to hold onto and use with one hand. Trying to swype words with one hand and no case, I've nearly dropped the phone a few times... it's just so wide and thin. Impact protection would be nice too but meh.. I don't drop my phones all the time.

I'm with ya' on this also. I like the case and feel that it's well made but it comes out of my pocket looking like a lint ball. I had the Seidio Surface case on my Dinc since I purchased the phone so I think I'm going back to that case with the holster. I'm also considering the Seidio Active case but I'm wondering if it has the same lint issues.

I got the Diztronic on ebay, it has a great feel and it fits great. It has the high gloss TPU around the edges for some extra grip and the back is a smooth matte finish.

Yes, the volume cutout stinks and it always had the volume rocker pushed down. Easily fixed with a Dremel, high speed bit, and stone grinding wheel to smooth the edges. It worked great.

Ordered two cases on Amazon last night. They had the Barely There cases for $21.38 and they had it in pink, so I got that, and then this one for $5.90:

A few people have asked about a pouch which will fit the phone. I got this one:
Amazon.com: Black Leather Wing Case for Samsung Galaxy S II SkyRocket , Galaxy Nexus , Exhibit II , Stratosphere * Includes micro-USB Charging cable**: Electronics

It has velcro sides so can be resized to fit almost any phone. It works OK, but I think the GNex is at the edge of its size limit. I hoped to fit a TPU case inside it but it won't close. Fits the phone fine if it's naked.

The case feels more like plastic than leather. Maybe it's just crappy leather.

My main goal was to find a good holster that I could use with a TPU case. Here's my setup:

Extended Battery - using the extended battery back as provided

Diztronic TPU High Gloss Black - I love the TPU style case for the grip and the ability to easily remove it. I find the high gloss finish provides a better grip compared to the matte version. I have had some small issues with the volume rocker and will probably cut it out eventually

Seidio Surface Holster - I love their holsters and it works nicely with TPU case. I had the same setup with the DInc and was glad it worked for the GNex.

Rearth Ringbo Ultimate Clear Screen Protector - dry application that was easy to put on but has a hazy/oily look when the screen is black. The positive is that it is cut well and does not get pushed up by the edges of the case. I only picked this since there were limited options before the phone was released and I will be swapping it out eventually.

Bracketron PHV-200-BL Grip-iT Mobile Device Holder - A decent $10 option for mouting the phone in the car. I almost got the Tetrax Fixway holder but didn't want to have the metal disc stuck on the back of the case all the time.

Yeah but if you see some other reviews. It took like 3 times to get one that works "right" which seems a bit of BS. That Clay guy goes on to blame amazon for bad shipping packaging... whatever. The thing is just stupidly designed. Just cut it out like boxwave does. I had to cut mine to get it to work. If yours works now, they may have done some tweaks after getting complaints and are now sending proper ones, who know but cutting it out would just solve the issue.

spend your money on boxwave, a few extra bucks you'll be pleased (and the screen cover that comes with diztronic is junk plastic as well, not a bonus).

i've been in touch with clay via e-mail, he has been nothing but helpful (including responding to two separate e-mails within 20 minutes on christmas day)...

anyway, he said they will be releasing a new version of the diztronic for the galaxy nexus with the volume rocker cut out. said it should be out in the first or second week of january...

I think im going to order the boxwave flexiskin in black and the active case in the only color (grey).

Total 33.90 with shipping, anyone got any advice/experience with these before i pull the trigger?

if you end up ordering them, i'd be interested in a review...i'm probably going to get the active and the slim rubberized. i was thinking about trying the flexiskin too but the fact that it doesn't have a picture up yet is a little concerning...

i'm also worried about what kind of bulk the active and slim rubberized are going to add. was waiting to see some reviews on amazon...

I emailed him today. He is very polite and fast to respond. He actually mailed me a new case today.

I havnt ordered yet, id also like to see a picture of the flexiskin. And i dont know if i want the active so much anymore, never been a fan of hard plastic. I'm still in limbo and probably have not purchased because my extended warranty is supposed to cover 1 phone replacement. I really want a case that still brags about the phones slim sleek design or id rather keep it naked.

Not sure if this is off-topic but seemed like a good thread to ask in... has anyone used the extended battery cover with the standard battery? If so, do you feel any give in the back of the phone, or does it feel just as solid? Just wondering because if I'm going to be switching batteries mid-day I don't really want to be carrying around two back covers with me.
