Hello, hope I do this right. I have the le pan, I am having trouble with the touch screen. It doesn't seem to do what I need, but what it wants. On facebook, trying to scroll down, it sometimes gets bigger and smaller. Doesn't register that I touch something to select it etc, trying to play games and it will release before I do it etc... Is this possibly a faulty unit or is there a way to calibrate the screen? thanks

My Le Pan has frozen & I do not know what to do from here to get it unfrozen. It has been like this for about an hour or more. Please can someone give me some advice on what to do to fix it.
The first thing to try is to power down by holding the power button down for 10 seconds then release it for a few seconds before pressing it again until "Le Pan" shows up on the screen. If it doesn't respond in 5 second it won't turn on. Repeat this again after connecting the power for 10 minutes. The next thing is to use the reset switch located on the back about 1/4 inch below the power switch. The final thing to try is to repeat this after charging it for several hours. Good luck.

As to frozen problem have you tried reset button.

As to screen problems. Two things you probably know but may not, one is that the zoom is done by tapping in the lower right corner. If you aren't careful when scrolling you may be skipping from scroll to zoom if you lift your finger slightly. two - the screen is multi touch I believe, if you touch at more than one point it could be zooming.

Also you might try another browser.

As to calibration, don't remember if the lepan has it or not but look in Settings. I think it is under display but not sure.

For HHATPOL,

For your issue following this description: ''trying to scroll down, it sometimes gets bigger and smaller''.

I'm getting the same issue. The only way I found to fix it is to lock the display, clean it and unluck it. Very very light dirt seems to affect the touch receiver info. The dirt seems to act as a finger touching an area during with your own finger you are trying to scroll down. Result: One virtual finger + Your finger = Zoom In, Zoom Out action.

I will look into playing with touch sensibility through the internet. If I find something interesting, I'll let you know. Same from you please.

Thanks

My Le Pan II recently froze up and would not respond to any screen touches... couldn`t even power down. I tried all the reset things I found here to no avail. With nothing to loose, I removed the back cover and found the ribbon cable that goes under the battery, which comes from the screen touch circuitry, was not connected. I removed the battery and reconnected the ribbon cable in its connector, put everything back together and wahla, everything is working perfectly again. Since the battery lays on top of that ribbon cable, vibration and movement from normal use can cause the cable to come loose over time.... not the best design, but easily fixed. Good luck.
