Root Please Help Me

I successfully rooted my evo 4g from sprint. Then everything was great and i could do anything. I had root uninstaller and used it to uninstall htc sense.sys and my phone went to 4g screen and stuck for quite some time before taking me to home screen that is blank (black) and the notification bar is still there but I'm afraid I can not solve the issue my self can some one please help me. I have already used the unroot guide successfully to gain s-on but the screen is still blank and I need a some help what should I do next? I don't want to further damage it because it still texts and makes calls.

it's more likely that the same person is panicked and created multiple accounts to ask the same question.

either way, I'm more concerned why everybody's first instinct is to unroot when they run into trouble. there should probably be a disclaimer in the sticky saying that unrooting should only be a last resort, and if you are unsure to ask the forums before doing anything.

Well I think if you panic and unroot then you should just take the phone to sprint because seriously if your that ignorant you don't need anything this powerful anyway

I don't know about that. It's thanks to power users that are willing to share their knowledge, like you, that those of us who started off ignorant were able to work through it and free ourselves from the bonds of stockitude.

I do have to agree. I just don't understand why people don't ask before they do. I mean I know when I started I wanted to get rid of bloatware. After I rooted I asked what was ok to remove and what wasn't I guess I knew better than to just start wiping things out do to my knowledge of computers. It's not really the ignorance I just know some people just don't have it. No matter how much you hold their hand and show them. Simple fact is we all start of ignorant its just some are Dumb and can't get past that to move to ignorant.

I have been dealing with one as such. My best bet would have been not to say anything (so not to offend anyone) but I've got a smart mouth and really just can't help myself at times :p Then parker got me all fired up due to the situation he found himself in (well he himself did not just the lack of service he got.) Hate hearing stories like his today. I feel bad for the dude.

I think some people get flamed or no responce at all at other sites and when they come here they figure its going to be the same. I see so mant questions asked then answers are given but the op never comes back:thinking:
So they dont know any better and just start trying anything they can wich usualy makes the problem worse. just my 2c.

Is the the same user that did basically the same thing in the other post?

1. reroot your phone
2. Did you make a nandroid backup? If so, restore it, and your problem is solved.
3. If you didn't, you will need to flash another ROM. Most here would probably recommend MikG. Check out the other thread here for full details.

Just strange that multiple people deleted their sense files on the same day.

Is there someone out there suggesting to do that?

This all really started because of a Coincidence that just seemed fishy to a couple of ours and they made note. So I guess the question is then If A). they are going to other sites and "being ignored" or told to "Search" and then come here, Why post multiple accounts all asking the same thing? That is a waste of server space and resources. I can understand people "panic" however if you just dropped the phone into a glass of water you next move isn't going to be placing it in the oven on 325 for 30 minutes to dry it out is it? or the microwave?

I agree with Rxpert it is strange that multiple people have the same issue the same day and all relatively around the same time. Mizzou had a question "EVO Help Spam?" And while it may seem ridiculous maybe not. What better way to bog someone's server than to use it how it was meant to be used.

Regardless I think we need to be even more observant to these type of help schemes. While we need to always approach each thread with courtesy and respect (self-slap back of head) We need to be cautious and make sure we are not being played or being a "smoke screen" for the real motives that may be happening at the other end.

I'll close this with an apology to all the members My comment was rude and unacceptable please forgive. I will have to make sure that I am following my own morals of behaviour no matter what kind of day I'm having. Again I apologize.

I think there is really no apology needed IMHO. It's the user's responsibility to read, read, read before jacking with the phone, and then ask questions. Why anybody would mess with this stuff blindly is beyond me, especially with a forum like this that is responsive and friendly at their disposal. Tough love baby!

i feel like i should respond to the side discussion here. first i just want to thank all of you guys who try and help where you can. your help is very appreciated.

and i do understand everyone's frustration sometimes with the new people who come here looking for answers and help. but one thing that you guys are missing is that, they are coming here for help. no other forum is as friendly and helpful as this forum.

i agree that people are just to impatient and impulsive and just dive in to things that they may not know what it is they are doing. but, aren't we all like that sometimes? i think that is how our culture is now days. we are very impulsive creatures. we like to rush into things, and fail to slow down.

but i also agree that everyone should slow down and read and do some research first, before doing anything. or if anything come to this forum first and ask questions before trying anything. my favorite threads are people who come here and ask questions about the rooting process so that they can learn and know what they are getting into beforehand.

and to the op, i apologize for derailing your thread like this.
