...since my last period of major contribution here. Things seem to have slowed down a bit as well around here. El P and D-U-R-X still around? I see D-U-R-X has been made a guide...Congratufrickinlations fella!

Moved on from LeeDrOiD ROM wise as it just isn't supported or upgraded enough by Lee these days, at least not with stable builds he has confidence in as my mirror is still in use in his main thread.

Gone for ARHD and loving its feel as I like Lee gave up on my DHD and didn't bother keeping up with the ROM scene but have been inspired again to get tinkering and fettling. (I gave up on looking at an EVO 3D the support just isn't there for the 3D feature enough to lose the gimmick feel). So still soldiering on with the good old DHD.

Someone is gonna have to let me know the lay of the land and who the movers and shakers are, as well as the latest ROMS we're all using. What the situation is as far as official releases are concerned so I can get back bang up to date with the scene so I can start helping out again where I can.

Oh and Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year. Hope Father Christmas brought you everything you wanted. (Hopefully not new phones otherwise I'll be talking to myself. lol )

Alright Stu! Thanks pal... was made a guide last month. Have been wondering where you were - just gone all of a sudden... thought that maybe you'd moved on to a new phone or something - nice to see you back!

El P's still with us (for now)... he's due to jump ship soon though, when he upgrades. He may still have time to pop in every now and then, but I imagine that, at first at least, he will be a little caught up in "new toy" stuff!

RCMix, RCMix Energised (or something like that), ARHD, CM7.1 are all out there at the moment. There's also quite a few beta's of ICS... sounds like we're getting closer to something good too... I had a go a while back (a week or so in to them being on XDA) and was quite impressed, but not everything worked, so I thought I'd leave it for now and as soon as something that's out with everything working, I'll be on it!

As for official Sense... HTC have released Sense 3.0. It has been well received on the whole, with the exception of a few bugs (location issues, network reception issues... a few others, but I'm sure you'll see the threads). I was quite surprised, sa I was sure that I'd read somewhere (on here) that the DHD would not be getting Sense 3.0, but making the jump straight to Sense 3.5, like the Sensation has (I believe).

Merry Christmas mate... I got some good stuff... I wasn't asking for anything, so it's always a nice surprise as to what you get (stand up DVD's, Assassin's Creed, money and, of course the standard... socks).

As for a new phone... the DHD is on contract and I'll be around until March 2013 (when I get an upgrade).

I'll still float around this section, I'm due an upgrade at the end if January, but there's nothing that's really floating my boat at the moment. I'd a mess around with the Galaxy Nexus in P4U when it was released and was a little underwhelmed. ICS is nice, but the phone itself has the typical, plastic samsung feel. I wish they'd release the Rezound over here, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. I may hold off on the upgrade though as there's nothing that I'd feel is screaming out at me and saying "get me"

ROM wise, I'm using Absolution at the moment. It's based on CM 7 nightlies, themed a little and has an inbuilt app for tweaking things like themes, Undervolting, etc. It's pretty good. Sense wise, RCMix is definitely worth a punt.

Santa was good to me, Assassins Creed and money. I'm gonna get the Asus transformer, but I can't decide if I want the tablet on it's own, first hand or the tablet and dock, second hand for the same price. Santa good to you?

I just want them to get ICS stable for our phone. Up until Christmas they had pretty much everything working bar hardware acceleration and the camera. On Christmas eve they got hardware acceleration done, but that seems to have buggered up about 10 other things

It seems like Assassin's Creed was a mandatory gift this Christmas - add me to the list.

Great to hear back from you all Father Christmas isn't too good to me these days, maybe has something to do with me playing the role for my kids. They get everything. My son and daughter got what they wanted though.

I'm looking forward to the stable build of ICS does look interesting and maybe the push I need to lose my addiction to Sense ROMS. In the meantime having looked at the RCMix ROM support levels in the DHD dev section on XDA I think I'll pass on Sense 3.5 until mike1986 makes it a part of ARHD.

Lee does seem to have moved on and dedicated more time to his Sensation and EVO 3D development, back when I used it heavily the LeeDrOiD thread was constantly active and only ever dropped to second spot behind ARHD. Now it quite often sees the bottom of the second page. mike1986 seems to have a better management over developing for multiple devices. However Lee does commit to both a ROM and KERNEL and delivers a smooth experience when commited to a device. mike1986 on the otherhand uses third party produced kernels and focuses solely on building his ROM around whichever KERNEL he prefers or is requested by his followers. I'd been tagging Lee in multiple posts I made about the lack of support on Facebook and Twitter but to no avail. I was all about LD offered a hosted mirror and made multiple donations in the region of a couple of crates of beer but alas to no avail and was underwhelmed with his Sense 3.0 4.0.0 beta release.

Using ARHD now is fantastic for me and loving it. Only downside was having to flash multiple add-ons that came pre packed in LeeDrOiD and I miss hearing R2D2 on bootup but other than that I'm extremely happy.

My upgrade is due in June but like you El P nothing is whispering in my ear telling me I want it. I too don't like the styling on the Nexus Prime, I don't like the Sensation styling either. I'd still get the 3D for my upgrade but unfortunately I don't like the colour of sick for the bezel around the cameras. Why they couldn't leave it red like the American release I'll never know.

Oh and apologies for not keeping up with my ROM support thread in the Root section but family life got ahead of all that. Some of it good some of it not so good but it all came out in the wash.

Got Micky Flanagan (the Mrs took me to see him for my Birthday, back in March... DVD's as good as when we saw him! Also got Russell Howard, Sarah Millican, Ed Byrne (and my Mrs got Russell Kane)... got Gavin and Stacey and The Big Bang Theory too... plenty to watch!!
