Bejeweled 2 will not install

I purchased from Android Market, downloaded and installed. When I run the app it wants to download another 40MB. Unfortunately, the download always fails. I called EA customer support and they claim they can neither fix the problem nor give me a refund. I tried uninstalling, clearing Market cache, reinstalling... no change. Nothing I tried works. Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix? Thanks.
 
TxGoat - I tried with 3G only (no 4G where I am), with WiFi only, with SD card mounted and unmounted, cleared Market cache, rebooted phone, nothing worked. This has to be something with the Bejeweled install process. Apparently the game install downloads an install application which then runs and requires an additional download. I'm guessing that that 2nd install is trying to contact a server and failing. I'm trying to get EA technical support to help me. I opened a ticket with EA. Fingers crossed that they call me back.

NightAngel - So you got it from Amazon and it worked. I got it from Android Market. Did you have the 2nd phase install as I describe above? Maybe I should try installing (and paying again) from Amazon. If it works at least I'll have a working game.

i did have to do the addittional download, worked fine. tx may be right and its related to network issue. that said I would suggest waiting, EA kinda screwed me at one point and when they finally responded to my ticket gave me the pick of any two games for free to make up for the problems...

I don't believe this is a network problem in the generic sense as I have no other problems with the network.

Glad you got it fixed. As much as I used to hate Amazon (canceling my orders when they had a pricing error), I've taken them back after the launch of their App store. One thing I find annoying is some of their apps, they won't let you download unless you have a Wifi connection, which in many cases compared to my 4G connection is pathetic. I wish I could shut off Amazon insisting that I'm on Wifi.

Have you tried reaching out to the Android market to tell them that an EA download isn't working? I would write them and tell them that the download worked fine from Amazon's app store. I'm betting they'd probably consider issuing you a credit as opposed to losing you to Amazon...

I am having the same issue. I will be interested to hear if you find a solution. Would rather not pay for it again from Amazon, but I have a bit of an addiction problem with Bejeweled 2. Not sure how long I can hold out...
I haven't heard back from EA yet. Maybe I will now that the holidays are over, but frankly I'm skeptical when it comes to customer support from the development/service teams.

I urge you to contact EA to let them know you have the same problem. That way maybe they'll pay more attention to the problem. Their contact info:
