Nexus S or Incredible S?

Won't the Incredible S be getting Android 4?

So out of the two, the Nexus S is the better phone? I've read a lot of reviews, and comparison sites, and they all say the HTC is the better phone... but I'm unsure what to go for.

And if I went for either, how long do you think I'd get out of them considering how fast phone tech is moving these days?

I don't want to be buying a new phone that's gonna cost me a fair bit if this time next year it's going to be wayyyyy out of date.

What features matter to you? For example:

Want latest updates from google? Nexus S
Want to boot custom ROMs? Nexus S
What more vivid images? Nexus S
Want sharp text? Incredible S
Want solid Exchange support? Incredible S
Like arrow keys on your keyboard? Incredible S
Like long-press on every key for alternate characters? Incredible S
Like a coverflow style UI on your media player? Incredible S

The last four can be worked around by using third-party apps, but you'll need to experiment to find ones you like. If you're OK doing this, then the Nexus S is the sensible choice.

Lol, well that's the thing. I'm not terribly bothered about updates. Though I'd probably want to update in the future. I'd keep the stock ROM.

Oh yeah that's something I wanted to know about the displays.

I like the idea of the HTC because it uses Gorilla Glass. Does the Nexus S?

Also, is there much *noticeable* difference between the Super LCD and Super AMOLED screen? What are each of the screen's like under direct sunlight?

No, the Nexus S does not use Gorilla Glass.

Outdoors the Inc S needs brightness turned up to be usable - and even then it's not great. Indoors by a window it's fine.

WRT to updates, I know some European versions have seen updates to 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0, but beyond that who knows.
