Help Anyone else notice WiFi issues?

I have only had the phone for a little less then a week but I am noticing the WiFi on this thing is horrible. I have full signal strength and it seems to lose connectivity after a little while. It shows it is connected but I can not access anything. My computer which is on the same network has no issues. Now I don't know if it matters but I did root the phone.

Are you using a custom rom? If so which rom and kernel.

Check the wifi sleep policy section as well


Menu.settings.wireless and networks.wifisettings

Hit menu.advanced

Make sure the policy is set to never

I am using the carrier ROM, I just simply rooted the phone. I checked the WiFi sleep policy and it is set to never.

Hrmmm...i would start with a router hard reset. next a phone factory reset....if the problem continues swap the phone out.


Do you have the ability to try on another router or an att hot spot?

I will have to try it at home and see if it does the same thing.

Yeah,had mine for a week and no issues at all with the wifi.

ok ok ok..let me know where you are trying to connect.

There have been some issues with android and schools etc in the past...

it will take some digging on my part but I know infuse owners were having big issues with routers out and about
