hey guys i just had to get my phone replaced less then a week ago, I have the cyanogen mod this phone as well. But today while just sitting there on facebook my screen went white then turned off and will nolonger turn on.

my question is when i go to BB today and they swap out my phone and swap out my SD card will they see any of the cyanogen stuff that might void my warranty. Should i do/delete anything? thanks

There's a chance, if they're able to power it on. Did your phone power off because it overheated? When mines turn off because of overheating, even when I cool it down, for days, it won't turn back on, wont even charge, no red light either. How I get mines to start charging again is to, plug in charger, hold down power button for 15 seconds, release, unplug charger, hold down power button for 15 seconds, release, take out battery, hold down power button for 20 seconds, release, put battery back in, hold down power button for 15 seconds, release, plug in charge, hold down power button for 15 seconds. Then I keep doing it 3 to 5 times and my it starts charging; I had went a whole week thinking my charger was broken and when I got a new charger it still wouldn't work. I started playing with the phone, and then it started working, now it seems this problem happens every time the phone overheats for me.

It wasn't normal before, but after that particular incident, I have to do this every time the phone overheats. Other might have this problem though, maybe Isaac charger port didn't die, it might just be this problem.

It wasn't the charger it was the phone, my old charger still works, it was just the phone. In Isaac situation , his charging port might have actually died, OR it might just be the same problem I was(and still is, any time time my phone overheats) having. Though in your case, bigvandal, your charger might have just stopped working.

Well let me throw out abit of knowledge ive just recently figured out maybe shed sum light on the subject. MY best buy in the next town over (closest) told me and a good friend who also got the MT that the $40 insurance thru best buy which must be purchased with in the first 30 days of getting the phone, covers even if the phone is rooted, hacked, smashed, stolen, full coverage on everything pretty much. way more chill than $5 a month shipping waiting and all that. which the $40 insurance CAN be leaniate because there is a trick i just found out and it jewed me out of the insurance program...you pay the $40 to best buy, but once you bring it in for a replacement, you must pay another $40, but u have 30 more days...and if u dont renew in 30 days its over. you must get it thru virgin mobile...so i swapped over a month ago, and they never told me i had to re pay that $40, i thought it was a once time fee...regardless i will argue $40 outta them for withholding info, muhahaha their employees should explain it, i mean i had to activate my own phone...they are not cream of the crop. My friend and i have returnt a few maybe 6 triumph's, best buy only wants box, receipt, account info, and the phone. I have a nifty pile of 2g sd cards and fresh chargers =D hope my morning rant helps sumbody at least, KEEP ur $40 insurance, im sure it will be a domination conversation. i can out talk them into submission.

A sales associate messed up and offered me a different best buy insurance. I paid $80, but I can get the phone replaced as many times as necessary without renewing for a year. oh, and did i mention it covers "accidental" damage as well? that's why I started rooting. If something goes wrong, I "drop" it so it won't turn on and get a new one ;)

I wish I had store insurance, I only have VM free insurance. I don't have time to wait for VM to ship me a device. Sometimes they give you a different device if it have a higher OS version, like if you try to replace your triumph, they might only give you a HTC Wildfire because it has gingerbread while, they think :D, we have froyo.
