I uninstalled the Christmas Theme from my Go SMS Pro, rebooted my phone, and when I got back into the Go SMS Pro app, an error message is constantly popping up:

"Load the theme failed! Maybe the theme has been uninstalled or it is installed in the SD card (it's empty-I checked), but the SD card is not ready yet! Please check. Reset to default theme for now"

Then I thought maybe if I upgrade the app (it's now version 4.2) it'll take care of the theme after rebooting the phone again. Nope, it didn't...I had the same error message.

Just where do I find the default theme settings?

help??

Uninstall then install it again

....that means losing the messages, yes? if so, DRAT!

edit: nope, didn't lose the messages..*whew* but it sure got rid of that error message.

thank you!

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and after playing around with my go sms, it returns like a bad day in gears of war 3...the unwanted theme and popup message still pops up after i install a new different theme and uninstall the theme. it comes back when i restart the phone. its like the same problematic theme is applied as a default and the pop up message appears still when i open up my go sms. the popup error message also pops up every time you choose a contact to message. its so annoying! its not anything on my sd card because i removed the sd card. its saved somewhere in the phone directory and i do not know how to identify it for removal. i used google chrome from my gs4 browser to download the theme from a site named atrappo.in . when i clicked on the download link, no download icon or info appeared as to where it would save to.

any advice to locate or fix the problem would be appreciated, thanks!

If your not rooted, and never have then try tbis:
1. Install AppTyrant, open it up. It should now save all installed apps to the sd card in their .apk form.
2. Transfer all data from SD to computer.
3. Do a factory reset with option in menu/settings/privacy. This will wipe all user data and return to an out of the box look.
4. Open up PlayStore app and sign in to your Google account.
5. Find the AppTyrant folder (might be named rootuninstaiier) on the sd card. Copy and paste all apk's to the root of the sd card (/sdcard ). Tap each one and select the install option.
That's all.
You shouldn't see the residual from the old theme.
