Help 2.3.6 improved battery life

I also saw better battery life but not that good. Do you have things running like 3G watch dog or anti virus ? I can get a day out of mine maybe 14 hours of moderate use. Is this the latest version for the S2 threw Ordin ?
I have AVG anti-virus running.
I have KL1 on my phone, that's the Indian 2.3.6. I flashed it through Odin.

Can someone help list down the upgrades under Gingerbread, 2.3.6. I just received mine. Other than the blue glow on scrolling up down and right left, and I also noticed that I can now scroll around the touchwiz panes like Sense.

  1. The interface of photo viewer has changed a bit.
  2. The video can now be played in portrait mode.
  3. Now more of phone memory is free(maybe some apps have been removed).
  4. There are also various minor changes in the Settings menu.
  5. The camera now shows a shutter animation after clicking the pic.
  6. You can now change the Background color in messaging.
  7. I noticed a new layout while switching windows in the stock web browser.

2.3.6 is damn good!!
Its improved my phone's battery life drastically.
Earlier on 2.3.3 it barely gave 15hrs of battery life, but now on 2.3.6 1day(24hrs) of battery life is normal for my phone!!
Though, I'm finding my phone to be a bit laggy after flashing the 2.3.6

I just upgraded to 2.3.6 from 2.3.3 yesterday and today my battery is just draining... usually it used to last me a good whole day... now with moderate usage its almost dead with 6-7 hrs of usage... i have just turned off the the auto brightness and hope it improves... display was taking 41% of battery....

Try turning on the 'System power saving' in the 'Power saving' settings. Hopefully it will solve your problem.

try updating wifi sleep policy from "Never" to something else.
wifi sleep policy can be accessed by clicking on menu from wifi settings.
