Root Why should I root my esteem?

Everyone, please convince me to root my esteem (some improvements/ benefits explanations compare without it); I read the one in HTC EVO 4g(cabbie), is that the same things with esteem?. I used to put Basix on my indulge, therefore I had to root it first to get that rom. My esteem all are stock and older version without any problems at all. Thanks in advance.

In all honesty, if you need someone to convince you to root your phone then you probably shouldn't do it.

there are many atributes to rooting your phone mainly removing the unwanted bloatware.

Reasons to root:
Recovery! Make a backup of your phone in case you install something that doesn't like your phone.
Removal of bloatware! Remove apps you don't use. Again, recovery is useful here, if you remove something crucial for the phone to work you can restore your phone.
Customization! Install fonts, change boot animations, change some sounds that aren't meant to be changed. Again, recovery is helpful in case you break something.

Reasons not to root:
If you are inexperienced and not careful, you might break something.

I find the best answer for my own curiosity about the root on Lg esteem;
I AM AT 245 TO 1708 NOW.
1. Root> Apps ; it is not a big deal since the stock has market too (it is a big deal on iPhones since the stock one has no cydia(something like market) on it)
2. Bloatwares (my extras, bla..bla..) does not bother me since it almost never send me messages(probably about once a week); anyway, I did freeze some of them including the mobilcare thingy too.
3. Overclocking>>> Ooohhh.......Yeah......... because It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a max speed at 1708(for now) WITHOUT rooting on the phone.
And one thing, I did that utuntu benchmark I have 4300 something

I do not know what is good deals on android since I am new at android. My first android was indulge; I had it for about couple minutes before I put basix on it; still I did not know what was the big deal on that phone because i sold it about couple days later after I had rooted then put a new rom on it. In short, I think I should and will be happy with this phone.
