1. I go to Clemson and i am trying to get my gmail .edu account to login in and its telling me i dont have the right credentials? WTF the password and username are right? The verizon guy used my @edu account to sign up the phone with

2. How do i pay for apps on droid marketplace? I think my @edu account is the main one ? But i see no where on the marketplace to register a credit card?

3. Do i need to worry about virus protection?

4. How do i sign into Youtube to upload a video? It keeps on trying to get me to upload it to google or something like that? I just want to upload it to youtube oh and btw my youtube email is a different google email from my @edu one

5. This phone kicks ass!:)

It has Kevlar as back-casing? Usually such material are used in military stuff but won't it be rubbery feeling? Now if a bullet scrape past the back-case it will deflect the bullet path?!?! :O
People have taken the back of the case off, and the Kevlar is not very rigid. It's more of a gimmick as far as its effect on the phone is concerned. Might still be strong enough to deflect a bullet at a low angle, who knows. ;-) But it feels very nice, not really rubbery, but very soft and high quality at the same time.

Google Wallet is used to pay for Android Market apps. You must have an account associated with a payment method before you can make purchases. If you also get apps from the Amazon appstore you will need to have an Amazon account to pay for those.

Google Wallet and Google Checkout merged:
Google Checkout merges with Google Wallet, completing the inevitable -- Engadget

You can't actually download and use the Google Wallet app unless you have a compatible device which officially is only the Nexus S 4G. There is a hack available to install it on the Galaxy Nexus. You can manage your Google Wallet account at https://wallet.google.com/manage/
So how in the hell do i buy apps over android marketplace then?

nope it didnt

Is there any way to switch the gmail associated with my phone?

I actually wondered this many many times myself, but usually it just kind of went away and I never bothered to pursue it.

So this is a good question. I know when the phone is "Set-up" originally, you give it an account, and then that account is the "MAIN" account used for the phone, and so on.

SO, I guess I will repeat hoping for a explanation/answer:
CAN The Default Email - Given to the phone upon setup, be changed?

Really, it makes not much difference, as you don't have to use it, and have all other emails go to another account, etc.

BUT - I guess the question is more on principal.

All the best,

Yes, it can do a factory reset and it will prompt you to enter the account you want to be associated with the phone. I did it and it worked like a charm. I entered the new account and it synced right up

When I went into market; there was a option under the menu to change the account.\

Also the fellow who was having trouble with setting up google checkout for paid apps; if you can't do it via the phone; you can do it from a computer with a browser. That's how I set mine up (never tried to set it up from the phone). Actually I purchased all my apps from the browser on a comnputer; haven't tried from the phone.

Thank you both for the quick replies....I'm guessing that since you have to do the factory reset, that you will have to use Tit BU to get your apps back, or actually I forget, when you do that reset, does it keep the apps, just reset the settings, like I will have to set the Router SSID again, no big deal, repair the bluetooth, again easy, just wondering if the Apps stay or not? Been a while since I did that.

Something is telling me it will reset all the "Settings" but keep the apps..just a guess.

Anyway, Have a great day and thank you very much..Spyder

I'm pretty sure you can (from a home screen) click menu> settings> accounts> google... I think you will have the option to change the account there...

A factory reset will delete all your apps, ordinarily Google will restore them when you log back in, but since you're going to use a different email I wouldn't expect that to happen (you'll get the apps associated to the new account).
If you're rooted then you can use TiBu to get your apps back. Naturally you'll need to backup with TiBu before a restore will work. :)

I swear Verizon slowed down my 3g download speed? App's take so much longer to download?1?!?! Anyone else had this happen to them?
I haven't noticed this in Greenville just next door to you but I usually get 4G. You can install speedtest.net with a very nice log that shows all of your test results to get a better quantitative measurement to compare at different times.
