Hi Guys
I have never joined a forum of any kind so am really not even sure what I am doing! I found the site while looking for an answer to a really irritating problem I have with my HTC Desire. When I sync music from my computer to ther phone it lumps all the albums under Unknown Artist when viewing the music on the phone, but when viewing the music folder on the phone via the computer it shows everything separate. Hope someone can help or if I am not posting this correctly just let me know

Hi, Thanks so much for the reply but I now feel even more inadequate as your reply has left me none the wiser then before - in fact I am even more confussed! I think I am definately to old for all this technology. I thought it would just be simple to copy over using Windows Media Player! Thanks anyway much appreicated

Hello and welcome to Android Forums! :)

Android doesn't read the folder structure or file names when scanning media. It reads the tags within the files. It could mean that either your tracks aren't tagged or the tags are damaged. I use mp3tag to edit the meta tags on my media files.

I do believe Windows Media Player will update your tags.
