Root Please help! Htc incredible brick!

Well i dont know if this issue is somewhere else on the forums, if it is i cant find it. I was runniing android 2.3.4 and was doing a unrevoked root. when it said it was done i got a black screen on my phone with two white bars on the side. i can boot it to the normal Power and volume down screen, but anything from there brings me to the black screen. im new to this, please help! im desperate

You just have an incompatible recovery. At this point you can continue with the downgrade per the instructions or simply start over and follow the directions on how to input the alternate recovery.

Basically read step 2 and don't skip anything.

would this be because im still 2.3.4? and its not fully rooted, because i can now boot up the phone and use it normally. I used root checker and it says its rooted, and titanium backup works fine. Although i have issues installing busybox, and using rom manager, always says failed or error

The "white lines" problem is because you have an slcd incredible. The default recovery that is installed with that version of unrevoked is only for AMOLED incredibles. Follow the complete directions in the thread I linked if you want to obtain complete root.

But as of now, you do have basic root access.
