Today for some reason my phone will not dialout when my bluetooth headset is connected and i have started to get error messages about the bluetooth service failing to start and it is also crashing. I am wondering is i need to reinstall that and if so can someone post the bluetooth software from the phone that would need to be reinstalled.

I have already hard reset my phone (need to re-root now)
Have not installed anything really to the phone and still same issue.

All help would be greatly appreciated

The exact same thing happens to me. The Bluetooth recognizes the headset but when i try to make a call everything freezes. The headset works on my blackberry and my wife's optimus. I really have no idea how to fix this but it's been like this on both of the esteems I've had. Let me know if you figure out a solution. My headset is a Samsung HM1000.

My LG Esteem Optimizer app on the market has a button called "Bluetooth Enhancements", it changes some bluetooth related background settings for some stability, adds some new profiles and stuff. I'm not making a guarantee that it will fix the problem, but it's a very good chance that it might. Root is required.

Fixit. I uninstalled the music app both picotty aps and all bluetooth apps and it started working corretly again.

I am rooted so i used a system app remover to back them up and then removed them. Rebooted and reinstalled, rebooted again and it was working correctly

what are the "picotty apps"? and which bluetooth apps did you remove? I don't think I have any bluetooth apps. I'm rooted as well.

Thanks, glad to hear there's a solution.

Music.apk
PicoTts.apk
TtsService.apk
BluetoothControllerWidget.apk
BluetoothOpp.apk
BluetoothPbap.apk

I did nto reinstall the MusicWidget.apk because i do not use it and got tired of it continually loading in the background.

I can't promise that it will fix your issue. But it is what I did and it fixed my issue.

Thanks for all who posted in this thread. Had the same issue and had to factory reset my phone to get everything back in order. Once I re-rooted, I started taking out applications until I found the one that broke the bluetooth. Whenever I froze Music 2.3.4 my headset would no longer work. That seems to be the culprit for me.

Very helpful forum!

Don't worry. I currently made a backup from my phone. Here is the there files, just extract these three files to sys>app/ folder in your phone.
