[ROM] ICSandwich2.3.7 - Final Edition [December 12, 2011] - xda-developers

I saw this thread a couple days ago and didn't flash it yet to my Lg Optimus V, but I'm about to. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this ROM? Seems, from the thread, to be getting good feedback.

This nothing but an IHO based gingerbread ROM that is heavily themed to look like ICS. If you look closely at the title of the thread it days 2.3.7, that's gingerbread, not ICS.

True, there was a thread about this a while ago. It's based on BACKside, and in fact JerryScript helped thaunknownartist get going on it. I had poor battery life due to the lock screen, but feel free to test it out. You might have better results than I did.

What problems are you having with Swype? I have absolutely no problems installing Swype beta from the website on BACKside.

What?! I didn't know about swype beta! What's the link? The Tom didn't come with the beta and so I didn't know there was a swype available! That changes everything! Link me please!

Yes, the q is for quarter. Our displays are 480 x 320, one quarter of 1080p.

Thank you so much! I got Swype going and it works better than what originally came on the phone before I flashed the ROM. Love it!

There are qvga and wqvga which it says will not be supporting. Which is ours

Well, just looked it up, by their definitions we have hvga screens based on the resolution. They list wqvga as 240 x 432, which I haven't seen.

i installed this ROM on my phone it is GREAT...i like it better then BACKside....i had both....BACKside was still working out some glitches....this ROM comes with two themes ICS and System....System makes Battery, wifi, etc green like regular android...ICS makes that blue and has diffrent background, the only proble i have about this ROM is that when you go into your app draw and turn your phone sideways the bottom row of apps names are cut off...only when sideways its fine vertically. Thats all i can think of!
UPDATE: i just found a way to fix those cut off icon names from the draw! Just go to the home screen press menu, Launcher settings, Desktop scroll a little bit and check Auto-Fit and hide status bar...you wont have the battery bar time etc but if you want it to fit then you will have to do that and BOOM not cut off anymore

I need to try it again because it didn't load the first time and I'm quite happy with the backside ROM, but I like change

I JUST HAD ANOTHER IDEA (i get excited for minor things) but since this ROM comes with a second status bar (which got anoying with default settings) you can disable the status bar but enable (if not enabled already) under launcher settings (menu button launcher settings) and press show status bar or "launcher Status" then enable gesture down to show slide down and gesture up to hide it!

The only problem im having is finding the gestures...ive seen it before...i took it off when i customized it..it came default you shouldhnt have a problem though

This ROM IS BACKside, it is just skinned to look like ICS.

MacFett knows his stuff. The dev used the BACKside ROM then themed it up.
