Anyone in the UK got their Nexus One yet?

Sad story today. I dropped my N1 this morning. Came out my car with phone in hand and for some reason let it slide right out onto the ground.
It bounced on the bottom left and top left then flipped over onto it's front and landed on the screen!!!
The screen has three small chips in it, not too noticeable, and the corners have a fair chunk out of them.
I was slightly upset for about 5 minutes then just shrugged it off. I'll probably flog this on mazuma at some point so not too concerned.
I was relieved that it still worked and the screen didn't crack, possibly landing on the bottom teflon covered end help resist that cracking damage.
I might try to polish the chips out with toothpaste but I don't want to feck up the surrounding area of the screen in the process.
Just have to live with it.
The same has happened with my previous phones, it's usually just a matter of time. Once I get it out the way then I just treat it normally, with respect but not with kid gloves.

Ohhhh noooooooo :( Terrible news Mark, sorry. But at you say, once it's done the new, treasured, my precccioooous feeling does go away a little and you can relax around it.

I know in the US there are places that can repair the top part of phone screens for a much smaller fee than returning it to HTC, is there anything like that over here you might be tempted in approaching? I take it your phone was nekkid and without protection (as mine is)?

I'm okay with it for now. I might consider it if I sell it on at a later date but I'm still very very happy with it. As long as my screen still looks good and everything runs fine then I can handle the small dings.

@markouk

Ouch. You thinking of getting another one or something different?

No, sorry. I will flog it at a much later point in time...like a year or so from now. I'm very happy with it and still exploring the phone and enjoying the new things it throws up every day. Next thing will be the Flash upgrade so got that to look forward to.
I do like the Desire but I don't think I'll transfer over to that instead of my N1.
