Online stores with cases for the Verizon Nexus?

So here's the deal. I have teh extended battery. I know some people are using the stock back, but there's just too much tension in it for me to be comfortable with it. But even *with* the stock back, with the extended battery, the Barely There case has a gap at the bottom. It just *barely* still clips onto the sides. The power and volume buttons don't line up exactly, but they're usable. Basically, you can still use it, if you really want to. I decided not to, I have a screen protector, but I think I'm going case-less, and will just get a pouch.

I know there are a few cases floating around out there (and some more which are ambiguous as to model), but I haven't seen what I want.

I'd like something that is more like a band around the edges. Not covering the battery cover (but can come near), somewhat rubberized so it won't slip out of my hand (but not actual rubber that attracts lint/cat hair), and can be hard surface/snap together or a stretchy-ish piece. I'd love if it was a bit raised around the front for grip (and to cover that all-around crevice that will be a dust collector).

Prefer a stretch-on or easy clip-on style so I can still get it off for various docks/holders/etc. if I want.

Basically, I just want to feel like I'm not dropping the dang thing, not giving it an excuse to overheat (that battery cover gets hot!), and have a bit of surface grip to prop up against stuff on my desk when I'm supposed to be working.

I think I found what you're describing! :D

Verizon has the Otterbox Defender for $50...

They also have the Otterbox Commuter for $35 (or whatever is the same price that Otterbox sells it for). But unfortunately, last time I looked, both were on back order and list as "will ship in 1-2 months".

I don't know if its still going on, but if you go directly to the Otterbox site, they're offering free shipping. Its not as good as Amazon's 2-day if you have Prime, but you'll get it a lot sooner. Its also not that much more expensive to upgrade to 2-day from Otterbox. Depending on what state you're in, it'll cost extra because of tax, so it depends on how patient you want to be.

Also, if you want to use the 3-pin dock connector, the Otterbox Defender blocks this. I don't plan to use it, and I love my Defender case.

Edit: for some reason, even though you wrote "Verizon", I was thinking "Amazon" - they're the ones that have it on back order.

I have never owned a Rearth case before but I came across their Ringke slim and it looks very nice. For people looking at Case-Mate Barely There or Incipio Feathers might want to check them out. It covers the phone top to bottom and there are more colors to choose from. I ordered mine in mint today and I can't wait to try it out.

Edit: The link says Galaxy S II but it takes you to a Galaxy Nexus case.

I just ordered a different one but you've got me second-guessing it. Those look great!

Still waiting on my Rearth case, but it's urgent now. You guys won't believe this but the Barely There case just moved fail. Indeed, I dropped my SGN onto my coffee table from the top of my Xoom when I picked up the tablet. Where did it hit? The small rim at the top that is not protected whatsoever by the case. It left a tiny little nick. It's not terrible, but I know it's there. Such a PITA. Anyway, I'm not trying to imagine just what is the purpose of the Barely There since it doesn't protect leading edges. Bah Humbug.
