App to clear cache (not as simple as it seems)

An app called UberMusic is somewhat incredible from one perspective. It is exactly what I seek in terms of design and functionality however, there has been a problem with some cached files (or so I assume) and I wish to delete its cache. However, it's not that simple since if I check the app settings tab then the Clear Cache button is greyed out and it says that this app holds no cache. Now, this isn't realistically possible since after Install/Uninstall about 3 times, nothing has changed. I've tried about 10 different apps (History Remover, CacheMate, App Cache Cleaner and a few more) but none of them even show that UberMusic has cache and so I can't delete it.

Is there any other way because this is driving me crazy and I'm not prepared to factory reset just because of this.

Thanks in advance.

I am on a GS2 running Cyanogen 9.0.

Strangely enough Cache Cleaner NG froze my phone when I tried to select app exceptions but even though I ended up deleting all cache, it didn't help.

Alostpacket - that was the first thing I tried and strangely enough, the app doesn't have a folder anywhere I looked.

The actual thing that I'm trying to get rid of is some false genres in the genre section which is a small thing but can still be very annoying.

Thanks for the input.

Try SD MAID PRO,it cleans everything, especially on rooted devices.

You looked accurately on the SD card in /Android/data/... ?

In front of the app's name there may placed an other name (company's name) ;)

Embarrassingly enough, turns out that I hadn't looked as thoroughly as I had thought and found a folder dedicated to UberMusic. Upon its deletion however, there was no effect. I rebooted the phone, Uninstall/Install the app again but still nothing.

I'll try removing my music and then doing this once I get home today.

Also, I am 100% certain that the perpetrators that caused these bad genres have been fixed now because I used a ID3 tag editor to erase and replace all the tags. In other words, I'm certain that even the genres that are left (which I wish to remove) are not caused by my current music library but by my previous and the genres are left over from it.

I'm sorry if all of this is confusing and doesn't make any sense but it's a pretty tricky situation to explain :D

Thanks for everyone's help so far, the response has been tremendous.

EDIT: After some exploration and searching with Root Explorer, I have found some UberMusic related files that I guess might be the cause of my problems.
I deleted all these files and once I tried to launch UberMusic after doing this, the app crashed BUT once I uninstall/install'd it, once again, the evil genres awaited me.
I'll lay off it for now because my battery is nearly empty but since I'll be updating CM9 today, I'll try this again with the new version.

SD MAID PRO

The free version allowed me to check apps that I could clean and UberMusic didn't even show up so I don't think there's any point in buying the app.

Thanks for your input anyway.

Sorry it didn't find what you were looking for.

One app of mine that only gets partially cleaned by all the usual Cache cleaners is the AMAZON ANDROID APPSTORE APP.
When I use the 'CLEAN APPS' section of SD MAID PRO,it usually finds about 50MB,(yes,50 MB,not a typo)on the AMAZON ANDROID APPSTORE APP that others miss.Even though I'm currently running a stock, unrooted phone for now(MOTOROLA PHOTON 4G),I was pleasantly surprised to find this app, which is geared more towards rooted phones, still works very well on my stock phone.

When I was running CM7 on my HUAWEI ASCEND, I found this app,SD MAID PRO,to be a most valuable tool, right up there w/A2SDGUI,V6 SUPERCHARGER,& ROOT EXPLORER,to keep things running smooth.

SD MAID PRO is still one of my all-time favorite apps, for it's functionality & tremendous developer support, always improving/updating & VERY responsive to feedback.

I've always been frustrated with album art not updating or showing correct resolution (after meticulously changing it). I finally discovered that albumthumbs are cached in android/data/com.androidproviders.media, and manually deleting all that will update to new album art (which looks sooooo much better). All mine is tagged at 400x400 or 500x500, and looks fantastic full screen. It's not really "cache", but it all "gathers" there!

I feel your pain, this has happened to me before (not on Android though because I manually add album artwork for every song through ID3 tag editor) and it is incredibly frustrating :D

I wish genres worked the same way but unfortunately (or fortunately, not quite sure), this problem is only specific to UberMusic and genres are fine (and as they should be) in other apps such as Winamp. And that's because UberMusic has decided to cache my previous genres and trying to delete this cache seems like an impossible task :D.
