Here ya go folks, GingerSteem Extreme!!! It has been debloated, deodexed, and tweaked for better performance and speed.

GingerSteem Extreme w/ Plague Kernel

What is this?

This is a very lightweight ROM built both for speed and stability. This ROM is based off of the LG's ZVB update to Gingerbread. It is fully deodexed, and debloated. Swype has also been changed to the 3.26 Beta. A few items have been replaced with AOSP versions to increase speed and decrease size. Also included is the appwidgetpicker to clean that up.

How do I install this?

• 1.) Download the .zip & copy to phone or sdcard (make sure 4g is enabled if dl'd from phone).
• 2.) Zip can be installed from either internal or external sd in CWM
• 3.) MAKE A BACKUP
• 4.) WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET!!! (You do not need to wipe if already on GingerSteem!)
• 5.) Go to install zip from sdcard > Choose zip from sdcard
• 6.) Select GSE-1.5-signed.zip
• 7.) Do not wipe data after flashing!!!
• 8.) Reboot!
• 9.) To Block Carrier Logging Requires Reboot After Initial Boot

Very nice!!!! The only problem until now is that my phone does not support 1804 MHz using SetCPU, reboot at that speed, going down to 1708 again and test with ROM Toolbox.

There is something weird. I had installed the PG OC kernel over the Gingersteem, now when installed Esteemed, when I set the CPU frequency on the ROM Toolbox, set the app to Max 1804 MHz but the phone goes only to 1708 MHz, when go to SetCPU it says 1708 MHz then when I press to 1804 MHz the phone reboots. Uninstalled SetCPU, reboot go again to ROM Toolbox, set to 1804 MHz and the phone only goes to 1708 MHz. Double check frequency with Quadrant and the phone is reporting 1804 MHz Max but running at 1708 MHz.

If you have Gingersteem you dont need to Wipe Data to install this ROM so you will not lose any app already installed.

Found the problem, on ROM Toolbox when you set any frequency it really set the immediate inferior frequency, let’s say you set 1804 MHz then the phone goes at 1708 MHz, when you set 1708 MHz the phone goes at 1612 MHz and then . If you set 1804 MHz on SetCPU the phone truly goes to that frequency and reboots.

Correct, I used mt's Gingersteem as a base for mine. Biggest diff is the kernel, others are just minor additions.

I tried editing the eri.xml in the framework-res but it resulted in a bootloop. lol
