Root T-mobile UK branded rom?

I have a HTC Desire HD on T-Mobile Uk 2.3.3 software 2.37.110.5 CL58702. I can't seem to find this on the internet. The reason I wanted it was because I wanted to root and maybe install custom roms, etc. I would like to have a backup of this for warranty purposes.

From what I understand I cannot dump the rom without root access, to gain root access, I have to downgrade first? I'm not too sure what the best method to root the phone is, I've discovered different methods, some seem old. What is the best way to allow me to root but be able to flash back to the software mentioned above just in case.

First thing though, I really need the branded rom

To root and install a custom ROM, you'll first need to downgrade to an unbranded, stock 2.2 ROM, as HTC made rooting pretty tough on 2.2.1 upwards.

Unfortunately, you're not able to at the moment as downgrading from a branded ROM with the software number 2.37.XXX.X isn't possible yet.

Since its now possible to downgrade from 2.37, what steps would I need to take from the beginning, to rip the rom that is currently on my phone? Would I need to follow this guide till I get to step 11?

Thanks! at what point did you do this? When I installed the first pd98img in that guide, it installed a different rom onto the phone.

I didn't do it, it's an official RUU from HTC, I just found it a few weeks ago after a long hard search online, so I uploaded it for you last night because I had it saved on my computer, and couldn't be bothered looking for it online again lol

Hi, I would desperately love a T Mobile HTC Desire HD ROM, as during an attempt to downgrade and root my Desire HD, the rom was flashed by the software I was using, but the CID was not reset. As a result, the device wont boot. All I can think is to re-flash it with a TMobile ROM to get it running again. Could you possible put a copy up for me to download? Thanks.
