I got one of the qubit ones off amazon....$10....works great, including with the extended battery.

It's half as much as the verizon ones, thinner, and I think way nicer. Highly recommend.

Amazon.com: SAMSUNG GALAXY NEXUS BLACK TPU GEL SKIN CASE, IN QUBITS RETAIL PACKAGING: Electronics

I have one of these too. Works great w/ extended battery. You don't even have to cut out anything. It just works. I like the grippy pattern on the side and the matte/shiny combo finish too. Adds same thickness as the Ditztronic.

I think that Tuxedo thing looks terrible, mold lines, bad cut-outs. Ugghhhh.

got an email from clay this morning that he is shipping out my two revision 3 cases (with the volume cutout) that will replace the two i ordered that press the volume button in. i can say nothing but good things about diztronic and their support...the case is top notch (other than the volume button not being cut out, that will be fixed now) and their customer service is as good as if not better than any other company i've dealt with.

And for anyone that still wants to buy the Diztronic revision 3 TPU case (and can't wait until after CES), it's still available on Ebay to purchase.

I had a rev2 case and they offered to send me the new rev3 as a replacement. They are great people to talk to. Order from them! The Rev3 is only available on their website TPU-CASES.COM, - All TPU Cases Shipped Free in the USA for now.

Some of the cases are shown on their site have the volumn rocker cut out while others are not. Does anyone know if some of the photos are just old and they all have the volumn rocker cut out?

My bad, I now see that the new version rev 3 has the cutout.

One another note, I received my Seidio Surface case yesterday and it is one beautiful case, I love the feel of the Seidio cases - it has an almost silk feel to the plastic. My only concern is the two piece construction, I'm not sure how well it would hold up in a fall. I wonder if Seidio did any type of testing on their two piece cases.

I got the Otterbox Defender case with belt clip, and I must say its a solid case. After having it for a while, I saw some issues with it. The case does add some heft to the phone. This is ok with me in some aspects, but since I baby my phone and don't drop it, I think this case is overkill for me. I also have an extra battery and charger. Would be nice to swap the battery without pulling this case apart, and the Otterbox is a nice case that doesn't like to come apart too easily. I also want to use this phone with my workout sessions which means I am getting an armband with bluetooth headphones. Not many armbands will work with this otterbox case, and the heft of the case will be a possible issue.

I like this phone naked, just like I had the droid incredible. I used a nice leather holster from Incipio with my incredible. I have a nice generic Verizon leather holster to use with my Nexus now. I am going to go this route for a while and see how I like it.

If I want to go back to the Otterbox, I still have it. I also know that my feelings may not be the same as others here, but thats ok. Different strokes for different folks. :)

I got a couple of emails from Clay tonight. They took it down because they were getting too many orders to fill before they shutdown for CES. I think he implied that all orders taken will be sent out today (mine was).

Just checked the status and mine was also sent out today, looks like I got my order in just in time (even got the Matte Back Black one instead of the smoke one). Didn't see any delivery estimate or tracking info though, but I can't imagine it being more than a few days even with standard mail.

I currently have a generic TPU gel case from QUBITS (off Amazon) but I think I'd prefer the cut-outs for the volume and power that the Rev3 has.

I also got the Otterbox Defender case, and also ended up not using it. I like keeping my phone in my front pocket and the silicon layer was a dust/lint magnet and would also get caught on the pocket whenever I pulled it out. The built-in screen cover also had that issue with the oily spots, but was pretty easy to remove. I also didn't like the flaps to access the USB or headphones. I agree about the heft it adds too. I would say its a great case if you want extra protection for your Nexus and also will use the belt clip.

Glad to hear I wasn't the only one who felt like that about the Otterbox case and clip. This Nexus feels just great naked. Just like my droid incredible felt. Its a solid phone and I intend on keeping it naked with a nice leather belt clip case. Yup, it means that there is a potential for me to drop it and damage it, but I had the same risk with my last few phones and I never had a tragedy (knock on wood).

A friend of mine has the Defender for his Bionic. He is definitely a person that needs it (he's not incredibly careful with his phone like some people, and he works in hazardous environments).

I joke with him that it looks like he has a billboard hanging off his belt.

I suppose the Defender has its place.....even Ive taken my phone to places that Ive wished for extra protection, but 99% of the time the Diztronics case and a decent screen protector are all Ill ever need.

My ideal protection would be a thin outer case along with a leather belt clip on my hip. The only issue is that most of these leather hip belt clip holders can't support an addon case. Which is why I am going naked with the leather belt clip. Just like I did with my Iphone and my Droid Incredible.

I'll probably stick with the Diztronic for every day use, but armor it up in the Defender if I visit family or friends with small kids, or if I'm going on a long trip and want the extra padding. Be nice to get some use out of it after it cost $50.

Which leather belt clip are you guys using?

Has anyone tried the Ringke slim hard case by Rearth? I ordered one from Amazon yesterday. Just curious if anyone has any experience. It seems to be the thinnest case out there and maybe could be used with a leather or neoprene pouch for travel (I'm trying to get away from wearing a phone on my belt).

Thanks.
If you have the LTE Nexus, it won't fit the top lip of the phone. So if you face the phone screen down, the top screen would still be touching the surface. If this doesn't matter to you, then the case still fits nicely and it won't fall off. Rearth is contemplating whether to make one specific to the LTE Nexus but no guarantees.

Here's the thread at XDA I've been following regarding the Rearth slim case:
