Root Nandroid sharing?

If my friend does a nandroid backup on his EVO can I put it in the proper folder and restore it on my phone?

I have heard that nands are somewhat specific. so the answer, I think, is no.

I would not suggest it and have not tried it myself. That said, as long as the nandroid does not contain the wimax partition, it may function and be fine. Just make sure you have a nandroid of YOUR wimax before trying it.

I believe they are phone specific There are things that are different from phone to phone like hardware versions.
