I read this post http://androidforums.com/551-all-th...-android-2-3-android-2-3-rom.html#post3758889 and want to upgrade to stock android 2.3. This is the version I have:
PDA: I5510BUJK6
PHONE: I5510XWJK3
CSC: I5510VODJK2
I am in south america, and I think this phone comes to europe only, which is why it only supports european 3G frecuencies. So, I think mine is the european version, or am I wrong?. This is also another doubt I have :)
If you can help me, I will be very grateful, thanks!.

From what I can see ,the phone is of Vodafone UK which is indeed European .
You can upgrade to Gingerbread without hasssles .
Be sure to upgrade to the newest XEO-KPG ROM which wont have the display bug .

Which one is the XEO-KPG ROM?, maybe is the last one on the SamMobile firmware page for GT-I5510, this one:

GT-I5510 I5510XWKPG ## 2.3.5 2011 December I5510XEOKP5 Poland

I really apreciate your help!.
But this one has QWERTY keyboard layout?. I have seen people having problem with keys on their keyboards, those keys typing wrong characters.

Yes it has QWERTY .
Alt+ FGH is different for different countries/carriers which is not a big issue as people make it .
The symbols are available in SYM key or are just misplaced a bit . $/euro/^/% are not very import symbols anyway .
The last ROM at sammobile is XEO-KPG ,the one you have mentioned .

I tried to download the stock rom of my 551, this one:
GT-I5510 I5510BUJK6 ## 2010 December I5510VODJK2 United Kingdom (Vodafone)
but the file is less than 1 MB :( it is me, or someone else has the same problem?.
Also, I downloaded this one that you recommended to me:
GT-I5510 I5510XWKPG ## 2.3.5 2011 December I5510XEOKP5 Poland
This steps applys for me also?:

And about the question the guy sciencedude12 asked, about the reset time on Odin, what is that?. Also, the Sammobile web changed a lot since my last visit, I cant find where to download the Callisto.ops and Odin. He also mentions a guide on samfirmware.com, but the site owners said they were moving to sammobile.com, but there I cant find any guide :(
Thanks for helping, I try to be very carefull with these, I dont want to brick my phone :)

1.)It's dummy file and useless
2.)Yes the steps apply to you too .
3.)Nothing important if you want to flash the phone only once .Basically ,Odin sets a time limit of 200 seconds before two flashes .
4.)There is a sub menu bar in sammobile.com .It goes like this
Home -SamFit -Factory Guarantee - Firmwares -Drivers -Flash Programs - Flash Guides - Service Manual

You can get Odin and Callisto.ops here
Samsung I5510 Galaxy 551 Firmwares.

Thanks for this info. Well, I have all files that I needed to download. But, first of all, the flash guide says GT-I5700 (I downloaded the one for the GT-I5510). On the guide, and on Odin, it asks for 4 items that I think I dont have:
Boot
Phone
PDA
CSC
I already have the Callisto.ops file. I wonder if those files are on the file I downloaded for the latest rom?.
Also, according to this guide, to put in "download mode" the phone, I have to press the camera key, wich our phone doesnt has.
Another thing, when I want to copy the contents of my memory card, Windows cant copy any file. I have most of my apps copied there, and my personal files.
I really appreciate your help! :)

Older files had Boot,Phone,PDA,CSC
All the newer files are one Package Files

Well, just to try, I got to the point until loading the PDA file according to your guide (nice name :D) and it says:
Invalid image type
but it loads correctly the file, succesfully passing the MD5 check. I dont know, buy maybe the correct one is "One package" under the "Select Integrate Package"???.

Its weird for me also not being able to copy the contents of my microSD to my hard disk . I will try directly copying from the card, and see if it works.

Also, I need to do first a factory reset and take out my memory card before flashing, right?. Thanks again!.

It worked flawlessly!, thank you so much!!!. You deserve a monument!!.

But, I have another problem, with root. I tried your method of going to recovery, and use the update.zip file there. It installed the superuser app, but it didnt gained root access. Titanium Backup says my device is not rooted. I tried with the signed version of your file, in this post:
http://androidforums.com/551-all-th...ter-gingerbread-2-3-4-update.html#post3422385
I will try with the one named root234.zip, and see if it works.

Edit: It didnt worked with the other file :( I have updated via market the superuser app, but it cant find the su binary.
