Finally. I am free of this wretched phone. Farewell.

I am moving on to a mans phone. The tbolt! Woot woot! Later ally guys, not very many of you are still left, but it's been a great run. Awesome little phone.
I just couldn't handle the buggy kb, lack of flash tiny screen or lag any longer.

A HUGE thanks to sax d2a trident j2cool and all you other devs. Seriously. Without you guys, this phone would have been the victim of a good stomping a long time ago. I owe you my sanity. Here is a very large thank you, to all of you guys. I'm gonna miss ya. (well except for those of you on team bamf  )

So, any last words? What should I know about the tbolt?

Why is it not much of an upgrade? Its not dual core but is 4g and has significantly more processing power right? Is it a crappy phone?
compared to the boinic, yes. your thought process reminds me of mine when i got the ally. it was a low end phone but its a droid and that was all that mattered to me. the thunderbolt is better than the ally and has 4g but there werent any great 4g phones until the bionic. its not the worst phone out, in fact the guy at the verizon store said it was the least returned 4g phone.

Well I have to admit that while I am sort of a hardware oriented person, I cant seem to justify actually paying for new hardware as long as what I have still does the job. I have only had the ally 6 months anyway, and coming from a Blackberry curve 8330 its a huge leap. so yeah as long as its running froyo or newer and isnt laggy as hell I am fine with what I have. It was between the Ally or an OG Droid or a moto devour when I bought the Ally... Devour has no dev community and way behind on OS, couldnt find a droid in good shape for the price I paid for my minty Ally.

By today's standards. I would consider the Thunderbolt a mid range phone. Since current/future phones will be dual core/quadcore, whatever type screens, etc. Not that that is a bad thing. But its kind of like the Ally. Ally was considered a mid range phone upon its release while the Dinc was considered high end.

I have the Inspire. Which is similar to the Desire HD, (if you look closely the Thunderbolt is based off it too). DHD was originally released in Oct 2010. It may not have the greatest/latest hardware wise. But it has enough to last/get the job done.

Well dont just go out and pay full price for any phone. You might consider getting a pre owned. I bought the Bionic certified pre owned for 80 dollars. They throw away the plastics the screen and replace them with brand new. So it might as well be new. And think about it I bought this awesome 200 dollar phone for 80. Now thats an awesome deal.

IM JUST SAYIN:D
