Easy mobile picture posting process question

Dropbox kind of works for this, but I was wondering what people do for this scenario, if anyone is doing it. I'd like to be able to take a picture, upload it to a host, and post a link to the picture in a thread so that the picture shows inline. All from my phone without too many gyrations. I've tried the Flickr and Tumblr mobile websites and apps. Both fail, in my hands.

First, I'll start with what I normally do to post a picture in a forum such as this:

1. take picture.
2. put picture on PC
3. resize, if necessary (usually, it is)
4. upload to my personal website host
5. Insert picture by using the picture linking button

The process above allows a picture to be shown inline, not as an attachment where the reader has to click on it to enlarge it - allowing me to control the size of the picture and making it easier for a reader to see what's going on when viewing a thread on a phone - that and I have complete control over the process. Of course, this only works in this forum if the picture is below a certain screen size. I'd like to avoid doing this for pictures taken with my phone, emailing it to myself on my PC, uploading etc. i.e. I'd like to do this from my phone and I would like to use a site like Flikr to host host the pictures, easily grab a link and then insert in a post, all while on my phone.

Dropbox sort of works, but it's still feels a bit clunky.

Does anyone do this? What ways have you found to be easiest? I don't want to use Facebook or Twitter for doing this as I don't want the pictures (mostly) to show up in my feed. I don't really care if weird, random, mundane pictures show up in my Flikr account, though.

I share the picture directly to Flickr from my phone, then grab the share link from Flickr, then edit down to just the http...static...jpg part without the other adornments on the share link.

A little extra work for trimming the Flicker share link, but less work than you're doing now.

All on your phone? I guess you visit the full Flickr site to grab the link?

Full res upload. Flickr vga-sized image from full res upload link test. Cumbersome, but doable.

I like photobucket better. After taking a pic, upload straight to photobucket. The photobucket app has a "view links" option, makes this easier to do than going to a full website on a browser.

Thanks for the view links tip. I like the automatic resize options. Even if it doesn't do the best job, I don't mind too much - my main goal here was to have the ability to grab quick and dirty images with the phone and be able to upload and post all on the phone.

Photobucket wins.
