Hey, not sure if this has been posted yet, but here's a nice little round up of 15 cases for the Gnex: 15 Great Galaxy Nexus Cases

No reviews, but it's nice to see them all in one place.

Cheers

The Case Mate Tough Case sounds like what Otterbox should have done, which is have the silicon layer on the inside and the hard shell on the outside (which is what the Droid case I have from Otterbox was like). But from the reviews (on Amazon, which is where the link takes you), it looks like it isn't sized correctly and a corrected case isn't expected until later this month.

I might look back after the new one is released, at least if I get it direct from Amazon I can save on shipping and get it faster. Spending so much money on cases, but I guess its worth it to have my phone protected.

Although I have a thin shell case on my GN I still prefer a horizontal leather carrying case rather than just throwing it in my pocket. Have been looking since its release with no luck until I found a Reiko case at a mall kiosk. Fits perfectly with the shell. Even works with the Incipio shell although slightly snug until the leather loosens.

Found it much cheaper than I got it on Amazon...

The Ballistic Shell Gel case is listed under their "in the works" section now. I love these cases since they offer a massive amount of protection like the defender but without the built in screen protector that i hate.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus Ballistic Shell Gel (SG) Series Case by Ballistic Case Co.

That looks nice.........I think I want something to have for "roughing it" with the phone, vs the Diztronics for everyday.

It might come down to the Defender vs that Ballistic. As long as the Ballistic comes out before I need a heavy duty case.

I am running the Defender, with the "extended" battery, and I love it.....I tend to have fumble attacks so I like the protection....I have dropped my GN getting out of my friend's F250 4x4 and it landed in a shallow puddle.....thank god for the defender....it was fine. Also Otterbox's warranty is great... two times now the have quickly responded to emails and took care of problems for me.

Man I'm diggin' that Ballistic and would like it for the same reason. I have the Seidio Surface which I like but I'd like something with a bit more protection for those rough times like jogging or inline skating. I wonder when it will be ready for sale.

I just got the Diztronic from Amazon. Three dollar overnight shipping with Prime? Thank you very much.

I like the case. I think I am back a rev as I do not have the volume rocker cutouts. Which I actually like. I can still operate the volume through the case with a little additional pressure, which to me is preferable. I found that, the way I hold the phone, I occasionally hit the volume rocker.

Putting this phone in a case, I immediately felt that it was easier to hold. It's a combination of being slightly thicker plus having a material with more grip. I am pleased with it. The fit of the case is very good, snaps right on, and the cutouts are big enough for connectors to actually fit. On my Incredible, the silicone case I had prevented headphones from seating fully.

The screen protector that came with it is average. No cutouts for the front camera or light sensor.. whether I needed to or not, I went ahead and added them with a hole punch. Almost certainly unnecessary and will lead to early delamination, but hey. The expensive protectors often have front cam and sensor cutouts, so I gave a DIY "upgrade" a shot.

As I said, the protector is just average. I notice the screen image seems slightly darker and fuzzier. I also think it has more glare - I see myself more in the screen when I look at dark pages. But there's no prism or pixelation that I've seen with some. The edge fit is pretty good, but the edges don't seem to be holding down very well. The hand feel is fine. And I'm glad to have the protector on there - I have picked up some very small scratches, and I'd like to prevent it from getting any worse.

I expect I'll need to replace this screen protector pretty quickly. A good wet application protector seems the way to go.

does anyone know if the boxwave cases will fit with the extended battery and the case?

Galaxy Nexus Accessories / Samsung Galaxy Nexus Accessories

I've attached images for the Boxwave Tuxedo SuitUp, which I have on my GNex WITH AN extended battery and cover.

Let me start out by saying that I have already sent an email to Boxwave...by the look of the packaging and condition of the case, it appears that the case was used and returned by another individual.

Summary: Regardless of the $10 cost, I'm not happy receiving something that appears to be returned by someone else. Also, the volume rocker issue is a pain....if you're willing to take out the exacto knife, you will probably be fine. I'm going to see what Boxwave responds with, otherwise, I'm 50/50 on keeping it.

I purchased three of the boxwave cases; the FlexiSkin, the Tuxedo SuitUp, and the Active Case.

I didn't try the Tuxedo one with the extended battery, but it was very tight without. I can confirm the volume rocker issues, as stated by Mattywalnuts. Not sure if I will cut it out, or just toss it, give it away, etc... I would be curious as to what Boxwave's reply is to Matty though.

The FlexiSkin is a softer version of the Tuxedo. It will fit well with the extended battery since it is quite a bit more flexible. But it is a lent magnet. I am currently using this one of the three.

The Active will work with the extended battery, but you have to leave the battery cover off. It seems like it will offer more protection than the others, and comes apart easily for a snap together case. It is a little tricky to hit the power button at first (since the case is raised), but it is not a deal breaker. One last thing, I wish is was less transparent, and was offered in a black, especially since if you are using the extended battery you won't be able to use the cover...

My Matte Back Rev. 3 TPU Case will be here tomorrow!! I'm so anxious to get it. I never really drop my phones, but if i do its in the house which is carpeted so no biggie. The reason I'm getting this is because my phone feels like a slippery fish. The backing and sides are not grippy enough for me to feel confident enough to take it out everywhere. Since this case is slender, heard good reviews of rev. 2, heard that rev 3 is to fix all complaints, and it fits the extended battery, and for only $9 shipped, i knew i had to try it. One more Day!

Do you mind taking some pics? I am considering getting this case as well, but can't right now because they are at CES. Can you get pics of all of the cut-outs?

Also, do the cut-outs let you have easy access to the volume rocker and power buttons? I had a case on my old phone (OG Droid) that made it a pain to press the buttons with very little feedback.

Yes, every single button and port on this case has a nice cutout, not too small or big. Also I have the extended battery and it fits just fine.

Hey, just saw your message...boxwave finally got back to me and apologized for the condition of the packaging and clearly used case. that being said, they also noted that they do not plan on adding cutouts to the tuxedo. i filled out a return rma and will most likely just send back. i have a diztronic rev 3 on the way so all is good in the world. to be honest, i'm not too much of a case guy, but the sides of this phone are pretty slick.

just got the Barely there Case from Case Mate and I have to say it's extremely thin, I find it really keeps the true "feel" of the phone since it's so slim. As for protection it offers "some" at best. The ends are open which I don't mind since the corners are covered and the back has nice cut outs for everything and the overall fit is perfect. If you're hard on your stuff then look elsewhere.
