Hey everyone,

So, I FINALLY figured out how to root my Prevail, and I'm super-excited about it. The first thing I downloaded was Titanium Backup, and backed up everything before getting rid of some of that pesky bloatware (Poynt, Google Books, etc.). I then downloaded Barnacle, which works like a charm and Go Launcher, and am now happily running the ICS theme. This is my question: Where do I go from here? Everyone talks about getting CWM, but when I look it up in the Market, the first thing that pops up is ROM Manager, which I know is a big no-no. Then, I saw ROM Toolbox, which looks like integrates a bunch of the programs that I need. So, do I use that AND CWM? If so, what exact version of CWM should I use to avoid brickification? And, I really want to use A2SD or something like that, but which one do I use? I know I have lots of questions, but I am very VERY new at this, and really want to learn, but reading the forum is giving me a lot of conflicting information. Any help offered would be much appreciated.

Thanks! :D

Please stop in almost every other thread advertising "your" ROM and pushing people to running it. You sound like a desperate used car salesman trying to push somebody into buying a back lot special that's dumping oil all over the parking lot.

People will download whatever they choose, and should not be subjected to somebody pushing something on them.

He's a ghetto thief. Nobody likes a thief. The devs, blood and hroark gritted their teeth accepting the apology. They are bigger men.

The only reason that he apologized in the first place was that I prodded him to. He is at least making an effort, but he threw something out there that was incomplete, and is basically having everybody else finish his work... I'm not a dev by no means, but before my p.c. took a dive I was actually working on a Cyanogen based ROM based off of Hroarks.

I've been thinking about try to build a CM9 based. But I fear that it will have too many issues that I will not know how to fix.

I tried it out several times and it booted up, but there were still alot of issues that had to be worked out. I was stupid for not making a backup, but I do know as soon as I get my p.c. back, I'll be back to work...
