How do I edit my information?

Hallo everyone. Just a quick question. When I go to my contacts and see 'e' on the top, I press to edit but nothing happens. Any idea why this is happening and how I can add my information? Many thanks!

Not sure what you mean by "your information", but if you are talking about your profile, in my phone you can edit it at contacts>menu>my profile

Yes, this is what I mean. And the problem is that I did this as soon as I got the phone, but nothing happens. I am not given the opportunity to change anything. There is no action following me pushing the icon to edit my information.

Might help if there was a screenshot so people could see exactly what you're pressing, but if you are pressing the edit button and nothing is happening then your phone could be bad. Try doing a reset of the phone but know that everything installed will get deleted, so do a backup first. You could also try taking it back to the store and let them look at it for you

I have done all that they declared to me that they were perplexed at the problem and did not know what was going on...

After I did a factory reset on my phone little changed. I was able to see my email but not much else..

No big surprise there. They take people off the street and 'train' them to know only the basics. Places like radio shack are infamous for this. Half the people at this forum probably know more than they do. Unfortunately some issues are hard to diagnose over the internet, that's why it's always best to learn as much as possible about your phone yourself. That's not always possible though

HTC Sensation XE. I managed to get it sorted myself now, after spending a couple of hours. It seems to have been some sort of software glitch.

Yes. Done that but it did not work. I finally had to do a system restore on my phone, remove the battery for a few hours and then restart...
