I made a custom blue Droid battery icon(based on Manigma77's "3Dbattery" icon). I just changed the color. It is part of my setup shown in this thread:
http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/47148-learning-experience-care-share-yours.html

There has been enough interest in it that I figured I would post it up for those of you who would like to have it:) It is a Metamorph file and easy to apply. Here is what it looks like:

Of course the icon changes with battery status as it should:) Here is the file:

how do we apply this on our droids? where do we put the file?

download "metamorph" from the market and run it, it will create a folder in the root of your SD card "android themes" place the ".zip" file in this folder and re-run metamorph>pick theme>bluedroidbattery.zip. it will do the rest for you. btw, you must be rooted.

P.S. just installed this, and i love it. thanks droidpcguru!

I experimented around with the black borders.. so far they seem to ruin the look of the Android robot, taking away the blended look of the legs, and round look of the head-it looks square-ish. I will experiment some more, but so far it almost looks best as a black or white block with the robot inside. I will try some more tomorrow afternoon:) I could post up a few images with a blue background(So it will look as it does in your notification bar) for you to view on your Droid's screen to see what you think..but I'm pretty sure you will agree:p Viewing them on a PC screen is totally different than on the actual Droid screen.

Actually, just personal opinion here, but the blue end of the bar in the I.C.E. theme is what made me experiment with Morphing the glass theme on top of I.C.E.;)

You would need to make a nandroid backup of your system folder before applying the icon. .then if you don't like it..restore the backup.

Alternatively you could copy your current framework-res.apk file before you apply the icon. Then if you don't like it push your copy back in. :)

ok, i just used root explorer and copied framework-res.apk onto my sd card.

so if i put your icon on, and decide to go back, i can just install the framework-res.apk from my sd card and it'll load my old one back up?

nothing against your icon, i just want to make sure i can go back easily if i decide to.

Your'e welcome:) Glad you like it!

Edit; How did you remove the clock? By the way..Thanks for reminding me of the More Icons Widget..I might rearrange my main screen:D

here is how i removed the clock:

download the file posted in this link: AllDroid - View topic - [app/script] xUltimate v1.2.4 **UPDATED 02/17/10**

these were the directions i was given:

you just download it from the first post...make a folder for it on your computer and extract it to there. you have to have adb working, but its its own program. just run main.exe, plug your phone into the usb and make sure usb debugging is enabled. (check out rootyourdroid.info if you dont have that all set up.)

do options 1 and 2 in the main menu

then in the folder you extracted the program to (i used C:/xUltimate) to copy all the files from origi_app to done_app and all the files from origi_frame to done_frame.

then hit 15 to go to the advanced menu and type whatever number remove clock is and it'll do it, i think it asks 2 questions just type y for both and the phone will reboot and clock will be gone.

not the most descriptive directions, but it worked. some of your questions will be answered when you actually run it and get into it. looks weird at first but it's pretty simple. also, your first reboot after you do it will take some time, so don't worry.

and yes, more icons widgets is awesome!
