Help Android 2.3.6 Charging Issue

Hey I have a samsung galaxy mini with android 2.3.6,.

Before updating it to 2.3.6 from 2.2.x, the phone used to alert me with a notification after the battery was completely charged asking me to unplug the charger.

I want to know if this feature is turned off in 2.3.6.

If not, please tell me how to enable the notification. Unlike many who are kinda pissed of with the beeping, I have absolutely no problem with that

Can you tell me approximately the amount of time it takes for full charging?
And I updated my firmware using the odin flash uploader and not KIES.

Will that make a difference??

I have a 5570 updated to 2.3.6 i use noled its on the market it has a setting to alert for full charge.

It doesn't make any difference from where or how you upgrade since the firmware are same from samsung. However, Kies method is safe in the sense that it doesn't let you flash wrong firmwares to your phone, however, since it takes a lot of time, it is very risky for people with unstable power source or connection.

Also, your phone should be charged within 2 hours fully
