Today I noticed while using MAPS that GPS said I was several blocks from where I actually was. Is this something that needs to be re-calibrated somehow or a setting changed? My MAPS worked perfectly in my stock ROM, just wondering what's up!

Also, is the icon in the notification bar supposed to flash?

What rom are you on? If it's aosp then there's a driver you can flash that will likely fix it.

So I'll be the first one to admit I am very much new to all this stuff but have learned tons through forums like this. Because I'm terrified of bricking my phone, I like to see step by step processes that I can follow. I am running CM7.1 on my EVO 4G and i too have the GPS issues. I am just trying to figure out how exactly to flash this ROM in recovery (like what does that mean exactly?) and then if that affects CM7, how to get it back to where it was WITH the working GPS. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!!! :)

To fix the GPS issue you are experiencing on CM7, download the file Mizz has posted (quoted above ;) ). and you'll flash that file in recovery.

I'd suggest you read the Life After Root section of this guide:
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html

This will give you step by step instructions on how to flash things now that you're rooted. :)

For this file, I believe, it's cool if you just wipe your cache partition and your dalvik cache, then flash the drivers. That should fix you right up!! :)
