ok i am new this forum but i updated my samsung induldge to the gingerbread 235 and now my home and menu no longer work they were workin with the stock 221 but since updating they no longer any one else have this problem? any help is greatly aprreciated..

Please tell me you have a cricket r915 indulge and not a MetroPCS r910.
Because otherwise, you're in for a headache, and some squatting in IRC.

In either case, you should probably continue this inthe gingerbread testing tar thread, so everyone who follows that thread can be aware of your issue as well.

Have you tried flashing it again?
And did you make sure to wipe cache & dalvik-cache?
Also, which GB ROM are you using? I am assuming the one from samdroids, but I want to make sure...


EDIT: Just read (elswhere) that your issue is fixed.

not really cause last nite i dropped it n the toilet and now have more problems the whole fone works except that now it stays in airplane mode gonna try and reflash see what happens other than that everything else works on fone...but thanx for all the help appreciate it....

hey can either of point me to where i can find everything needed to reflash the prl for this fone thats what i am missing...everything under status is there but the prl version says unknown....appreciate it like i said everything else works on the thing i think if i reflash the prl i might b in business sometimes when i pull battery i get service for like 45 sec to 3 min max before it goes straight to airplane mode then i turn it off but it stays on????

I believe it still works the same you just have to google for cricket prls I know there's a thread with a bunch of them somewhere.

I have prl 1050 but when mine does get service it says it 45713 i have that to what program do i use to flash it back to fone???i can do blackberries with qpst do i use that for android as well???

You should use QPST, preferably the same version used in the guide confed linked to, and just follow the steps using the prls that you've downloaded.
Make sure you have the samsung drivers installed and know your MSL/SPC.
I don't know if the MEID converter app works the same for a cricket indulge but it's worth a try.

Well it must b dead i get the computer to see the fone odin sees fone but unless i have it n download mode qpst dont see the fone at all so guess it just became one big expensive mp3 player thanx to all ur help guys appreciate it...But at this point dont know what to do with it.......

check through the thread i linked to, hell even post in there for help if you are having problems with QPST. QPST didnt recognize my indulge but i just messed around with a few things, threw caution to the wind and voila, it worked.

I cant get qpst to read fone tried every com port available just absolutely will not read the fone odin reads it i can flash tars to it all day long but cant seem to get qpst to do anything when i tell it wat port its on the program tells port unavailable or some crap this is a really nice fone just wished i could get the prl back on it and the dumb thing outts airplaner mode thats all thats wrong if it turn off airplane mode i b fine

Are you following the instructions on Kaiser17's PRL update thread?
They should work...
If anything, some things are not even necessary.
Like no need to disable USB debugging.
But make sure in **87284 that BOTH are set to MODEM
Uncheck the USB/QC Diagnostic Ports only in the port selection for add new port
It might (most likely) say USB/Unknown. But choose one anyways.
I've always gone with the last one in the list (It always shows me 2 of them) and it all works fine.
In fact I just used it about 20 minutes ago, and all went well.
