from Santa Barbara? that's cool, I was raised up there but now live in San Diego. How's the signal up there?

Hahaha... I'm just the opposite of you (raised in SD and landed up here in SB).

Signal is pretty good here. 4g from Carpenteria all the way up through Paso Robles. I'm currently sitting with 3 bars in my living room (-80 dBm) and most recent speed test was 27.58Mbps Down, 6.01Mbps Up.... Not bad if you ask me.

How do you like San Diego?

wow that's great speeds! VZ getting it done!

I like San Diego it's great! It's like a bigger Santa Barbara for me with more to offer. I haven't been to SB in a over 3 years. How is it up there?

I just got my Rezound yesterday- haven't had time to make all new Android7 icons for it yet, but had to do something simple with it...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Stock HTC Rezound with ADWLauncher EX, Folder Organizer shortcuts with Metrostation icons, Make Your Clock clock/weather widgets, SMS Unread Count notifications, and Widgetsoid 2 toggles.

Wallpaper is just a Danboard from a Google image search.

Don't know why the screenshots have a black bar down the right side. I'll have to edit those out on future screenshots, I guess. Also don't know why Make Your Clock says "Mostly Sunny" at 11pm...

But who didn't pick the Rezound for hardware reasons?

I agree. Sense is pretty and all, but the main reason I love Android is the ability to have a lot of control over form and function. Sense is no different than any other stock launcher-- big ugly icons, power-draining widgets, and limited customization.

Now, I don't think that Microsoft is a leader in form or function, but I like the look (not really the functionality) of the Windows Phone 7 interface. It took me a while to get it to work on my Rezound, but this is what I have:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Details on the home screen layout are here: Android7 Theme.

Launcher is ADW Launcher EX.

Tiles are custom-made by me and placed as widgets using Desktop Visualizer. Weather widget is WeatherBug Elite, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ringer, and Brightness toggles are all re-skinned CurveFish widgets, flashlight is a re-skinned Tiny Flashlight widget, and the filter is a re-skinned Screen Filter widget. All tiles and clock are created using ADW Launcher's Overlap Widgets feature. The Network tile is awaiting an app that shows network info with a transparent background in a 1x1 space (haven't found one yet that works), and the Hotspot tile is awaiting a non-Verizon Wireless Tether option (that doesn't require root or when a permanent root is easily available for the Rezound).

Notifications are SMS Unread Count and ADW Notifier.

Pop-up app folder is Folder Organizer, dialer is part of AContact (which also does call log history and contact viewing with group categories), clocks and information widgets are all Make Your Clock, and keyboard is the unavailable Better Keyboard 8 with the Black Light skin.

The lock screen is, of course, WidgetLocker with Phantom Music Control for Google Music.

I think I covered everything. It's nothing really new to me since I had this "theme" on my Incredible, but still thought I would share.

Oh, and I definitely picked the Rezound for hardware reasons. The specs are perfect and, although it is a bit "heavier" than it's competitors', HTC maintained a level of quality that matches my original Incredible and outshines the others. Other than minor things like free, no-root hotspot and being able to turn off the V-Cast website when connecting USB, if you loved your Incredible (not the Incredible 2, mind you), you will love the Rezound as well.
