Lack of OTA leaks and rumors have me wondering how long for a reception/batt fix

Am I missing a thread on this or is their really very little leaking out of verizon re: an OTA update to fix the signal issues/radio and the Battery life of this phone?

.3 was rumored to have been pulled when the Nexus S was proven to have the same OS awake issue. Google has stated that .3 will be the base for all manufacture ICS releases so they really have to get it right. I doubt it will be longer than 2 weeks.

I read on XDA that P3 claims to have version 4.0.4. Maybe that's good news for an update coming soon.

I saw P3s tweet too and hope 4.0.4 is coming soon! If I remember correctly from a leaked VZW doc posted here last week, there is an update due end of January and one due mid march but like everything, should be taken with a grain of salt.

Methinks the OS awake issue, since it would come from google, will come sooner than any radio update from Samsung.

You may be seeing little about the OTA releases on this forum because so many are using a ROM. I am using AOKP with lean kernel, and have wonderful battery life of 20+ hours. I also have no problems with connections on this ROM (with the leaked radio upgrade).

I'm sure the OTA updates are not far away, but I still expect the ROMs to exceed the stock capabilities.

The Prime received 4.0.3 (though that could be based on a AOSP build).

Thats why i didnt post in the rom section...lol...I will rom..already rooted...just read very mixed results on the leaked radios. My battery life seems to have gotten better as of late.

No problem if you don't want to flash, a lot don't and are just fine. However, trying it for yourself is really the only way to find out if it's worth it to you

My point is that NORMALLY as an OTA for a big name device, esp a Nexus device, the OTA leaks are rampant a week or to before release...with Jan 15 coming i feel for those that give up early...these are some rather big issues...the fixed the Euro GSM problem very fast with very many leaks and google announcements...I really do worry about this phone with verizon involvement

OTA better drop before 5pm today

MMS bug where pics won't send while on wifi (yes, regular cell data connection is on with excellent reception), just put a nail in this phone's coffin.

Be aware that 4.1 *WAS* checked into AOSP...but later revision came back to rename it as 4.03.

So that explains why everyone was talking about 4.1, and yet now we see 4.03
