Loaded CM7 TG Final on my MT. Everything went great. After about 2 weeks I noticed that SD Card icon in the task bar. When you click it it says SD Card safe to remove. If I got to Settings/Storage/Mount SD, it says preparing SD then immediately goes back to safe to remove. I have tried 4 different cards, I have formatted them (FAT32) in windows, and tried "Erase SD" in Settings/Storage. I reboot in to CWM and I can partition the card with an EXT partition, but Recovery will not read the SD card either, if I try to install zip from SD it will say "Cannot mount SD card". It will not mount to my PC via the USB cable either.

Anyone ever run in to this? I have searched for 2 days now and can find nothing similar to my issue. Hoping someone has seen this before. I can always call VM to request a replacement, but I can not restore it to stock without being able to access the SD in CWM where my Nandroid is stored.

Here is hoping someone has an answer.

sounds like a hardware problem.

I'm sure you can restore in CWM through ADB while connected to PC. then you can get a replacement.

If the hardware is bad, why would it allow me to repartition the SD card with an EXT partition in CWM? I know the partitioning works, I verified it on my PC.

Also, how do I restore the Nandroid via ADB? Everything I have read requires you to put a phone in to fastboot mode, I have not read anywhere how to do that on the MT.

Rereading your first post, you can partition your SD Card but can't flash from it? If you couldn't do both then is probably a hardware problem, besides that, I don't know...

Ended up ordering a replacement through VM, did not wipe it or restore back to Stock before returning it. Hope that doesn't come back to bite me in the a$$.

you should be fine. Im sure they connect it to diagnostic software that wipes it first thing before they even test it. they get so many returns it doesnt make sense to hand inspect every phone, and ive never heard of them contacting someone who sent a modded phone in.
