Black Verizon silicone case vs diztronic v3

does the Diztronic fit when using a extended battery

Yes it does. I'm using the matte smoke version with my extended battery right now. And they have great customer service. My first case was the original one and they swapped it for the rev.3 for free. I just had to give them my amazon order number. Rev.3 also comes with an edge to edge screen protector

I can speak for the VZW case...I've owned the Shiny Black Silicone case for all my phones on VZW...and now the GNex!

I have to say I'll take the tiny bit of extra bulk! Reason being...added protection.
My Nexus popped right out of my sweatpants pocket as I was jumping up and down as Tim Tebow through for a touchdown in overtime to beat the Steelers. Boom...right onto my hard wood floor! My heart sank...picked it up, not a single scratch... zippo! Worth a teeny tiny bit of extra bulk in my book.

So is he difference the bulk between rev 3 and black verizon?

I have black verizon and next battery. Fit is perfect IMHO.

How do the textures compare? My verizon one is black shiny and slightly tacky (won't pick up lint)....but firm

Although volume buttons covered, they seem to line up and work flawlessly.

No comparison at all.

Diztronic rev3 > Verizon Black Silicone case

The rev3 case is slimmer, matte black on the back side, shiny black on the front side. The rev3 has a more premium feel to it. The verizon case seems a big clunky and a fingerprint, grease magnet.

I have an extended battery and there is no noticeable difference, no extra bulge. Awesome case.

After you picked it up and it wasnt harmed, did you Tebow?

+1. Love the rev 3 in black/matte. The shiny black lip on the front makes a lot of difference in the look (the case looks like it becomes part of the screen) and the matte on the back seems to provide a little better grip than the last TPU case I had for a different phone.

My only complaints (and I sent an email off to Diz about it):

1. There was a little extra piece of plastic leftover from the mold....it juts out a bit onto the screen itself. easily corrected with an exacto knife

2. The USB port is off-center in the opening on the case, at least on mine. Plugging in the stock USB cable, it doesnt sit straight since part of the cable hits the case. It still charges though.

These are clearly very minor issues....I let them know just in case they needed to make adjustments for more batches of product, since it seems like they will be selling an awful lot of these cases!

i've been trying to get an opinion on the screen protector that comes with the Diz. Has anyone used it? Is it any good? I want the Diz case but i need a screen protector too. If the one that comes with the Dix is good then i won't have to order an SGP

The screen protector that comes with the Diztronic R3 is pretty good. It's crystal clear, doesn't affect screen quality. It's dry apply, edge to edge and I haven't had any issues with it lifting up at the edges. There a very small sign of it possibly lifting up at the very bottom, but I think it's because I didn't apply it perfect. With the case on, I don't even see it though. To be honest, I don't know why SGP insists that they can't make their Ultra Oleophobic edge to edge (if not edge to edge, a bit closer to the edges would be nice).

The Diztronic is a bit glossier than the glass and more of a grease/fingerprint magnet though. I've tried to run it as long as I can, but grease shows a bit too much on it and I just relented yesterday and bought an SGP Ultra Oleophobic. The SGP should be here on Friday and I can chime in on how they compare.

Anybody found a holster that works with the Diz?

I am using the Diztronic High Gloss Rev3 & Extended Battery with the Seidio Surface Holster and it works perfectly. FYI - I noticed that they are coming out with a version specifically for the extended battery but that's not what I'm using.

Another thanks to Clay at Diztronic who was very responsive in sending out a free Rev3 replacement.

I also use the Diz, they are great customer service wise -- really enjoy the matte finish rev 3

Screen protector is nice, I hadnt noticed it lifted off the bottom a tiny bit as it's way down by the case "lip" and was mostly covered.

It's a great deal for $10 IMO

I've never used a case nor a protector before though, so I am pleased they seem to be working well :)
