I was trying to fix my GPS issue and it appears I have screwed up big time. PLEASE HELP ME!

I followed these steps and when I reinserted my SD Card, the phone says my SD card is blank. Please help me!!!!!!

If you would like to speed up the GPS lock and connection time on the Galaxy SII...

Try this...

Settings > Location and security > ensure the the 3 boxes under My location are ticked.

Now download and install, free from the Market, GPS Status.

Remove the sim card from your phone and reboot it.

Open GPS Status (preferably outdoors with a clear view of the sky) and select Menu > Tools > Manage A-GPS state > Reset

Now select Menu > Tools > Manage A-GPS state > Download

Now just leave it for as long as it takes to get a solid lock on at least 6 Sat's (preferably more... 9->11 would be good). This can take 20 min's or more but be patient,

When you have achieved this then select GPS Status Menu > Settings > GPS & Sensors > Auto-download AGPS data > choose how often you would like the data to be updated (1 hour -> 3 days... I have mine set for 6 hours) > tick the 3 boxes (GPS required/Lock to GPS speed/Filter the GPS speed, if required) and choose your Sensor filtering.

Now power off your phone and replace Sim card and reboot.

N.B. Please ensure you have no Task Managers or anything that will close or interfere with this app.

Once rebooted you should find an improvement in accuracy and speed of your GPS.

I think the first thing you should do is insert said micro SD card in a desktop or another smartphone and see if the card has truly been formatted. In regard to the steps you followed, I don't see anything that would have affected your card. However, the directions seem to be for the European version of the phone since it states the use of a sim card, so that process may have been the culprit.

I would also see if the phone's Media Scanner is working properly.

I tried the SD card in 2 other phones and received the same error message. I just don't understand. All I did was take the card out, powered up the phone, installed the other app. Powered the phone off, put the card in and rebooted the phone and bam, card is showing blank.

In fact, if I go to Settings, Storage, Mount SD Card option is showing Mount SD Card, which tells me the phone isn't recognizing the card. When I try to mount the card, I get the same error message. SD Card blank or has unsupported file system.

Which card did you take out in the first place? The SIM or the SD card? The instructions call for removing the SIM card but your statement implies that you removed the SD card instead.

Yep, I'll second that one. SIM and SD are two totally different cards, The only analogy I can think of for the moment to compare the two are; Sim card is to Key, as SD card is to Key Ring.
