i have just purchased my new s2 skyrocket and love it!! however i am having trouble moving my music,apps,etc...to my new sd card i picked up today.is this possibe to transferr? and how? thanks for the help as i am just learning this phone.so far ery impressed!! :D

thanks

Home Screen --> Settings --> Wireless and Network --> USB Utilities
Then click "Connect Storage to PC"
POP Up says: Connect USB cable to use mass storage.
Plug in other end of USB cable,
Pop Up says: USB connected,
Click "Connect USB Storage"

You should have some "Removable Storage Device" show up on your computer now. You can transfer files from your computer to the internal or external storage. You might have to restart the phone so it scans both for files.

Midiman pretty much nailed it on the dot... (Although, you didn't buy a Weird or unsupported micro sd card right?) as they are classified ... class 2, 4, 6, 8, 10

its a 16gb sandisk

Where is the music located. You will have to use the computer and USB if they are located on the PC or set up kies wifi sync. Set up will require installation of the kids software on your PC.

in the phone. i dont have any music program for the s2 yet on my comp.just want to know how to remoe them from the phones location and put them on my sd card thats in the phone

What music are you referring to I am a bit confused

I think you may be trying to move apps to ext SD from internal SD

Let me assure you this is not as much of a necessity as it was on prior devices that did not have internal SD

You can use the manage applications menu to move apps to SD (don't move apps that have Widgets...it will break the Widgets)

You can also use apps from the market like apps2sd

For music you will need to use the app on your phone called my files or files.

You could also use astro file manager or es file explorer from the market ...

I bought a cheap, $44 PNY Class 4 16G card (I think) and it appears to work fine. AT&T wanted $90 for a SanDisk 16G that I didn't check the class on. Didn't matter. Didn't have $90.

I'm a lot snobbier when it comes to the Compact Flash cards I feed my Canon 7D.

the music i pulled from the easy mp3 downloader

If it's in USB storage on the phone you'll need to setup Kies software to transfer it to the PC wirelessly or use a USB data connection as I outlined earlier... or transfer it to an external SD card, remove the card from the phone and put it in an adapter that can be read on a PC.
