Help connecting to pc via usb cord

Sometimes my phone cant connect to pc. It shows only charging. Whats wrong? Is my phone have problem or my pc?

Some phones have different USB modes, like charge only, USB drive, etc. Check your USB settings once your phone is plugged in.

this its shows when i connect my phone to pc . some times its ok to connect , but mostly its not ok.

seems same with mine. USB is only for

1. Charge the phone.
2. Let Phone be a hotspot for pc surfing via the phone(on expensive 3G).

I agree. USB is useless. I can send via bluetooth.

No its not useless.
1.Via usb u flash new firmware
2.via usb u can use adb(android debugging bridge) via which u can do anything.
So usb is not useless

tips:

1. install kies, it has many drivers included with it.
2. use stable usb ports like on the back panel of the pc, they are connected directly with the board. front panel connectors or usb extensions may fail sometime.
3. usb will only be useless if people dont know how to use it.

After connecting USB . there will be a new notification or ur Cellphone with a USB sign.
Open it and it will show an option to Connect USB storage to PC . Click Connect and you can see SDcard contents on PC .

very simple, you dont have the needed driver for the USB, you still need to install samsung kies in order for your phone to be recognized by the computer

i got same problem also, its automatically installed wen u plug in the usb cord. right? there's a install bla bla says and you installed it after still i can't see my file on the computer . just charging. grrrr.. help me...

PS: Pde ba ako gumamit ng usb reader para mka transfer ng files or mka upload ng files computer to cp.

kasi nga walang kang nakainstall na samsung kies bossing i mean, you dont have the needed driver for your phone which is included when you install samsung kies, thats why.
or if you have already installed the needed driver for you phone, all you have to do is to bring down your notification bar and click the "connect to USB blabla something" and youre good to go

btw, yeah you can use a card reader to transfer files to you sd card
