Root Issue has Arose

I tried to falsh a new ROM today, didnt like it, so i reverted to the nandroid i took before flashing it, but when I used the function "reboot phone", it gets stuck on the white "HTC EVO 4G" screen.

I use Amon Ra.
Tried to revert back to 2 different nandroids.
I can still access recovery, i just cant seem to boot up my phone.

Suggestions?

how long does it wait on the splash screen? what did you check when you made your nandroid backup?

also you can try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and then restore your nandroid. you really do not have to do this, but since your are having issues, it will not hurt either way.

I guess I kind of panicked a bit too much and came straight to the forums, I tried it and it worked! (the usual solution it seems to be...) Thank you!

Also just want to say that I rooted this phone using that guide of yours XD, insanely helpful!

EDIT: I see it got rid of all of that data.... Would it be safe to revert back to the nandroid now?

Not true! I have had two issues. One with mikg where it wouldn't bring up the lockscreen and then another on deck aosp where out asked me to log in my google account after restoring and my market would fc after trying to run any updates.

However on both of those I am fairly certain that those backups were made with 2.3 so maybe there is an issue there. Or maybe I just happened to have two bad backups at roughly the same time

I've had issues recovering Nands with newer Amon Ra

If people are having issues with restores then upload a logcat for drellisdee. After seeing him respond to issues with previous versions, a logcat will help in making this recovery better even though issues are few and far between
