Help Calendar Notifier - does not repeat?

On Blackberry and Treo before that, when an alarm, calendar notification came due, it popped up on top and offered choices to dismiss or reset to new time. On Motorola Droid it appears I have to pull down top bar to see it, and I do not see any options to change it. Has anyone found a way, or a new widget to more easily change how it works? I.e., I'd often like to reset to remider from say 2 days, to 1 day, or x hours....

You need to edit the calendar item and set a new alarm.

If you tap on the item in the pull down you'll have choices to dismiss or snooze...

And the snooze will let it notify you again - I have snoozed something and it comes back to bug me later on every single time.
